OK been to Weavers a few times now and I am still looking for a negative to report. That is almost impossible.
Arrived there yesterday, with friends, for Sunday lunch. Shown to our table and drinks order was taken and it arrived so promptly. On the table, a jug of ice water (again without asking) and glasses for every need. A basket of bread arrived and butter was on the table. We all decided to miss starters and spoil ourselves, maybe, to a dessert. We ordered two roast beef and two pork roasts. The restaurant was extremely busy and we were given time to catch up with chat before the roasts arrived. Again, hot plates keeping the meat beautiful as we ate. Plenty of veggies on separate dishes. Perfect.
Did we have room for dessert? We all decided to give it a go. Three homemade shortbread with ice cream and one banana split. Let me warn you that the desserts could be taken as sharers for two. Totally delicious.
To finish I must compliment on the service by the young ladies. They are brilliant. The maitre d' has trained them well. Thanks to the kitchen for a wonderful meal.
OK, price.......2 pints of lager, soft drink, medium wine, Four roasts, four desserts........£72. A no-brainer and I still wonder how they do it. read more
