Over the past few years I have bounced around trying to find a Chiropractor that works for me. Dr. Weatherley is exactly what I have been searching for. It's wonderful that he has a sports background, as I have some injuries related to sports, and he knew exactly how to help. He does a great job taking his time to get to know you and find the issue. Other places try to get you in and out as quick as possible and that is not the case with him. He is well versed in different practices, so if manual adjustments are not your thing, he will have a way to fix you! It's now January 2020, here's an update: In December a few weeks ago I started screaming in pain because of my back. It was horrible. I couldn't walk. In the past I was prescribed Naproxen to get myself working again. This time I did it without any pain meds. I went to Dr. Devin Weatherley, my chiro. He did the DROP TABLE, the ACTIVATOR GUN & the super vibrating massager on me (sorry IDK the name). I also have a T type Thumper massager at home that is pretty great. So I went to Dr. Weatherley after a few days of realizing "this is not going to clear up" without help. Dr Weatherley says it's L4/L5 on my back, it felt like horrible sciatica + hip pain + where quads meet my torso. It was literally excruciating pain. I would say out 10 - 10 being the highest, I had 12 pain. I told Dr. Weatherley this when I got there. I was basically totally disabled with pain. He did the 3 techniques on me: Drop Table (pressing in) Activator Gun on really painful points Super Massager I felt so much better walking out of there, but I made an appt pretty quickly. I am going every few days right now. I think I've had 4 appts so far and I will see him again Monday. The pain went from 12 pain then to 3-4 after the first session but then escalated back up to 10 pain by the next session, then reduced by the 2nd session to about 70-80% Then the pain went back up about 3-4 pain by the 3rd session. I had been using the Thumper massager on my painful areas. 4th session: walked in 10 pain, walked out 95% healed, got out of the car with husband to run errands that was great. 5th session coming up in 2 days. Today I feel 99.7% healed. I'm almost 100%. TY Dr. Weatherley, again!!!!!! EDIT: The Thumper is in no way comparable to the super massager Dr Weatherley owns. For the last two months I was dealing with upper back pain between my shoulder blade and my spine (I drive 3 to 4 hours daily and fly 12 times a month causing me severe backache). I believed it was simply a knot that needed to be massaged out through trigger point massage. Every time I would lay on my left side, I would feel piercing pain shoot through my back. On 12/15/2018, I decided to see Dr. Devin Weatherley. What I thought had been a knot in my back, turned out to be a few ribs out of place. He actually spent time listening about the history with my back problems and then spent even more time working on solving my current problems. It definitely was not a one-size-fits-all approach. I've been going to Dr. Weatherley for over five years now. He is attentive, a great listener and customizes care based on the situation. He is trained and skilled in many different modalities; the one I most prefer is the Activator method. Many chiropractors will have the Activator tool and say the "do Activator" but have not gone through the professional training. I should begin by saying that I've never had chiropractic work done and was slightly skeptical overall. As someone who has played sports all my life, I typically feel pretty in-tune physically. When I began having excruciating back pain, I was confused about how it started and how exactly to treat it. My girlfriend recommended trying chiropractic work since she has had work done many times. My search for a new doctor, that would take patients on the same day without health insurance, led me to Dr. Weatherley. His office is easily accessible and I wasn't waiting long at all. Dr. Weatherley took time to really address my overall health and figure out what may have caused the sudden pain. In addition, he was continually explaining the process of his work as well as what was happening for me physically. After some extensive work, of multiple styles, I left feeling more mobile than I have in my entire life. Dr. Weatherley took time to explain the process in the moment as well as healing moving forward. He is clearly incredibly knowledgeable and made it clear that he continually looks for the best practice he can offer his clients. As a college student on a budget, it was nice to feel like I wasn't judged because of my ability to pay. Dr Weatherley is amazing! I have been to several chiropractors in the past, but have never been given the amount of time and detail that Dr Weatherley provides. His model is very unique and works! The adjustment does not ever feel rushed as he takes his time. He targets the specific location that needs to be adjusted and it's very "easy on the body". I have to admit that I was skeptical of the Activator Technique at first, not hearing the usual popping sounds that come with the manual adjustment. However, after trying it out for a couple of months, I have noticed that his adjustments hold a lot better than manual adjustments I have had in the past, and I love that! It's exactly what I was looking for! Dr Weatherley is proficient in many different techniques and asks for feedback on what is working best for you. I go to Dr. Weatherley for general health maintenance but also for neck pain and headaches. Many other chiropractors do the same treatment on every patient, regardless of what is going on with the body. That's one of the great things about Dr. Weatherley, he has all sorts of cool tricks up his sleeve to help release your specific pain issue and customizes his approach for your body. He has a gentle but extremely effective technique and my neck and headaches have greatly improved since I have been seeing him.
