Firstly, I am very sorry for those who lost money due to Vince Mulee's fake investments.
A bit of background about the man. He was a long-time priest in the Saskatoon Catholic diocese and most recently a rector of the then St Pius X Seminary at U of S. He left the diocese in 1987 after his multi-year affair with a parish secretary was made public. Apparently, there were some questions about his handling of financial affairs while in the diocese (master of the long con). After leaving the diocese, he bought the Subway franchise for Saskatoon and opened up his own Subway shop on 8th Street (big hang-out for students). Some may say his total lack of restaurant experience may have been a factor in the closure of his shop, after a few years, and loss of the Subway license. After his Subway venture failed, he had a series of short-term jobs before becoming a financial advisor. Does Wealthco ever do a background check on its agents ? Only a few red flags here ;) read more
