They looked everything over and gave me an estimate of what it would cost to fix the oven. They were presentable, polite and very clear, answering all of our questions. I very much appreciate their ethics and would 200% recommend them. Thank you for such honest and amazing service!

They installed it at a fair price and were quick and efficient. They got the permit for us and scheduled the inspection. They were friendly and explained everything to me. The installation is tidy and professional. The new connection to the existing pipe is securely swaged in place, and the whole thing looks great. They even replaced a valve not included in the original scope of work at a nominal additional cost as a last-minute request on my part. I now have a main water shut-off that doesn't leak every time I turn it on or off. If I need a plumber in the future, I'll certainly call them again.

We called Powers and Sons Plumbing, and Derek Powers arrived within the hour to cap the pipe and get the situation under control. Derek is a Master Plumber and, from the moment I met him, I felt that we could trust him. He is professional, knowledgeable, dependable, and just a genuinely likeable guy. And he absolutely came through for us. Derek didn't just fix the immediate problem. He took the time to identify the root causes of several plumbing issues we had been dealing with for years and gave us a very reasonable price to correct them properly. The water damage ultimately required the kitchen to be completely replaced. Throughout the entire remodel, Derek worked closely with the other contractors and adjusted his schedule whenever necessary to keep the project moving. He was always on time, communicated well, and did exactly what he said he would do. One thing I especially appreciated was that there was never any pressure to buy more or do more than was necessary. Derek never tried to upsell us. It was clear that his goal was simply to solve our problems and do the job right. We were so pleased with his work that, after the kitchen remodel was completed, we hired him again to install an automatic-flush water filtration system, a new pressure regulator, and a new shower. I couldn't be happier with the quality of Derek's work or with the way he treated my mom and our family throughout a very difficult situation. If you need plumbing work, I highly recommend Powers and Sons Plumbing. Derek is the kind of tradesman you hope to find when you really need someone you can trust. Ray

The company charged me $65 for a new drip pan that I never received and $250 for a permit that was taken out five days AFTER the service was completed--three times the actual cost of the town permit, which is only $75 in Amherst. According to the town's ordinance, permits need to be pulled prior to any work being done. It was only after I confronted the company about not pulling a permit that they attempted to backtrack and obtain one 5 days after the completion of this job. When I requested a refund, they informed me that I needed to have the town inspector come and inspect their work before they would issue a refund for the $65 & not for the permit. This inspection is not a requirement, with or without a permit, yet they are refusing to refund my money. While their onsite team did an excellent job, the dishonesty of the office staff puts a bad name on the company. I DO NOT recommend American Plumbing Heating & Cooling due to these deceptive practices.
