Our driver was knowledgeable and injected humor and personality throughout the tour. We got out and visited a cemetery and later, Cafe Du Monde within 1,300 acre Orleans City Park. Drove through the Garden District and the French Quarter with areas of interest pointed out. Drove near Lake Pontchartrain and saw the repair efforts after Hurricane Katrina. It was a great way to get a taste of the city in a 2 hour tour. We were only there for the day and found the prices for this very reasonable. We had stayed in a hotel on the west side of the city and had packed up to leave town after the tour. We paid to park at the Sheraton for $30 while we did a little sightseeing before and after the tour. VIP City Tours does not have a physical address to meet at so they picked us up at the Sheraton and dropped us back there afterwards with suggestions for a couple places for a delicious lunch. We enjoyed our time and would suggest it to friends and family!

We went on the "Haunted Ghost Tour: Go Inside a Haunted Location"…read more First off, the "go inside" piece of this is a gimmick. It was NOT what I was expecting. We just sat in a room while the guide told us stories about the courtyard and other areas that we couldn't see. It was pointless. The tour itself was ok. It was more history and story telling than anything actually scary. The guide was very good, very friendly and funny, but he did speak very very fast and we had a hard time keeping up with some of his stories. If you are looking for a scary tour, this isn't it. If you're looking for more of a history tour, then you'd like this, but I would save yourself the money and not book the one with the "go inside" piece.
