When I informed him of all the errors, he agreed to refund half of my deposit. When I picked up my Trust copy, I discovered one more example of his sloppy work: a large water stain on the cover, as if it had been carelessly used as a drink coaster. At the time, I was experiencing homelessness, severe trauma, health complications on top of disability's, and impaired judgment due to overwhelming circumstances. Single Dads listen to this warning.; she will take your retainer and everything will seem great, that is until the retainer is burnt up and she actually has to act like a lawyer. You will be scrambling to find 5 years paperwork that she waits till the morning of court to ask you for. Or like she did to me, tell me there is no reason to show up to court, and then calls after you're already late telling you to show up. This of course makes you look bad to the judge, and she will save her own skin before defending you. Save your money for another lawyer, as Kara is just going to bend you over and leave you helpless and then abandon your case, because she can't keep track of your case for $300 an hour.
