The other two offices were dark rooms where I felt closed in and one was so noisy that I had to leave and take the 2nd class elsewhere. These remote learning classes are in offices that generally are many businesses who have one front desk person. There could be a lawyer and chiropractor in the offices next to you. You will learn by calling in to a phone bridge as well as following along on an instructor screen. You also have a booklet and your own screen so you get all 3 learning types covered. The bonus of this spot... Being in the heart of Portland. There are many options of places to eat and get coffee that accommodate food allergies. Plus, on your lunch break you can walk down to the water and back! There is a place to get a foot soak and massage, an amazing local bookstore and so much more right here!! There is a cash only parking garage attached to the Time and Temp building that is ooooold and totally sketchy looking but it's safe. The whole city is safe really when I think about it.

The school and its staff is profession. Small but with many rooms for private instruction. They cater equally to both adult and youth and I've seen people from their late 50s to kids seemingly as young as 10 taking a variety of lessons here. I wanted to obtain good, reputable piano lessons for my partner as a birthday gift. He's academic minded and I knew I needed to find some place professional. Midcoast's Portland campus is located in an otherwise inconspicuous building above a private, classic car collector's showroom. There are signs on the side of the building and dedicated parking and classes are given throughout most days and evenings. One of the principal partner owners, Matt Fogg, could not have been more helpful and accommodating when I set up the first few lessons which my partner plans on extended into weekly lessons. Lesson scheduling is easy and flexible and the rates, while varying, are incredibly affordable. After looking around the area for music lessons, this place was a score. Cheverus is, in my opinion, the best high school in the state. Maybe MSSM has better math and…read morescience. Maybe public school doesn't have religion class. But Cheverus is a great mix of good arts, good math & science, and good sports. The teachers really enjoy teaching at Cheverus. Most of them take pay cuts to do so. The religion teachers also never forced Catholicism (or protestantism) on students. it was all very academic, and the religion teachers were actually open minded - they taught what the church says and then their opinions or alternative opinions.
