However, there has been a change in leadership and my mother is on the Assisted Living side. The place is clean and never smells of urine like some places have that I have toured. Every person that I have encountered there really tries to help the residents and keep them engaged. I was really worried about having my mother in an assisted living establishment, but she feels at home there and has made many friends - residents and staff. I can't say enough about the care and thoughtfulness that Mom has encountered there. I would like to list some people that I especially appreciate, but don't want to leave anyone out...the list is long.

one star is not low enough. no words to describe what we went through there with our father -…read morenegative reception from the executive director, social worker, head floor Lpn to the financial office. the reception we got the first day from the Lpn Sandra- I wish my dad had been mobile and had not almost does in the hospital- she was so rude and her aid was too- they treated my dad terribly. the social worker should have her license revoked. so much behind that comment- she was so awful to my dad and me. she is not there to help people. the executive director is clueless - no idea how to act around a person in public. (it's interesting when you look on Google reviews two of the 5 star reviews are from Marion the social worker and Lori the ex director- reviewing themselves!!! hahahah) financial office- needs to learn to listen to the patient and their family- when they say they have secondary insurance that covers 100% immediately after managed Medicare cuts them off. LISTEN!!!!! listen!!!!!!!! LISTEN AND LEARN!!!!!!! your " years and years" of experience do not negate that -YOU CAN BE WROMG AND YOU CAN LEARN!!! simply PLACE a phone call to that secondary insurance and look what tou could learn !!!! you could have made so much money- whixh bottom line that's the name you said!! and also treated us with the respect we deserved. the respect my father earned and is why he has that insurance. needless to say this was a bad 2+ weeks for our father-due to the stress they put on him about his insurance ending payments- he had a relapse and he ended up back in the hospital for 2.5 weeks and then in another facility 80 miles from home for rehab (curious that after this place almost let him die sitting in a chair ignoring him, we couldn't find a bed anywhere near "home") well needless to say, this new place 80 miles away (much stress on our family because of this far distance that could have been avoided) - they listen and they had 3 months being paid 100% by our dad's secondary insurance- starting immediately after his managed health care cut him off and said he should be "well" which he wasn't!! bottom line- all they care about is money- they do not care about the patient and a family that need them. and they need to learn the real way things work- we told them over and over about his second insurance-
