Phenomenal service!! I had a root canal that needed to be redone. They found the previous doctor…read morehad missed one of the roots of my molar which was now causing me significant pain. They had an appointment available within 2 weeks. They staff was friendly and the place was clean. Note: they have multiple locations. The location I was seen at the first time was not the location for the 2nd appointment. I showed up in Hagerstown for the 2nd appointment when I should have been in Frederick. So I was late when I arrived in Frederick but they still fit me in and acted like it was no big deal that I messed up they schedule. Generally, after the root canal is finalized they send the patient back to their dentist to repair the crown. But due to a recent move from another state I no longer have a dentist. So they repaired the crown at no additional cost. I highly recommend this place.

The lack of transparency in this office is concerning. I reached out for information as their…read morewebsite offers little guidance. There's no information about accepted insurance, new patient procedures or financial options. What was particularly troubling is their policy requiring a copy of your drivers license or military ID. It seems a simple visual inspection isn't enough. After asking several questions about this policy and trying to understand why a visual check wouldn't suffice, I was unexpectedly disconnected.

Dr. Curtis and his staff were personable and efficient, as well as EXTREMELY kind, making sure to address any concerns I had even before we began and then during the procedure. There was ZERO pain. Even with the shots in the beginning, Dr. Curtis took care to make it as comfortable as possible. I'm not lying when I say I think I dozed off a few times. I was comfortable, and very much at ease. As strange as it sounds, that was one of THE most pleasant experiences I have ever had getting work done in my mouth. I can not recommend this office enough.

However, upon arrival I presented my dental insurance "explanation of benefits" and previous receipts as there appeared to be a discrepancy, and dental offices always seem to estimate the customer payment portion when services are rendered. When I presented my question to the front desk attendant she immediately said the person that handles "that" is not here. But, she went on to increase the tone of her voice while attempting to explain the way billing works. I asked her not to raise her voice at me as I simply asked a question. (I was sure to be respectful in my tone and volume as I, too, work in the medical field and understand customers receive varying receipts and EOB's. Also, other customers were in the waiting area and could hear everything.) I simply had a question about my portion of the payment. Another employee standing to the right of the desk attendant heard this exchange and rolled her eyes. So, my only concern is for front area staff to routinely receive customer service training classes and be continually reminded by an office manager how to respond professionally to customers that pay hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars that eventually pay their salary. IMO poor customer service is what harms all businesses and especially the small business owner.
