I'm so grateful to have found this local State Farm office near my home there in Oregon. I wanted…read moreto find a local office who I know I can count on in case I need to make a personal visit and/or call over the phone. After searching on Google, I was able to get in contact with Josiah Sanne who took the time to help me provide an auto insurance quote and explained everything in detail on how much I would be saving including bundling both my auto and homeowners policies together and also saving even more by utilizing their Drive Safe and Save bluetooth device that monitors your driving habits. Prior to this call, I was a loyal Allstate customer for more than 30 years. Their rates have drastically been on the rise and it's been very difficult for my family and I to keep up with their unreasonable rate increases which no longer comfortably fell under our budget. None of those 30 years of loyalty mattered or had any value to Allstate. You're just another number to them. Part of the motivation to shop around for a new policy was that I recently lost my job after almost 5 years at that previous employer and the current situation has put our family in financial hardship so I needed to explore ways to save money especially during this challenging time. Josiah was very cordial and he made my experience and entire process more pleasant. Josiah and I spent more than 30 minutes over the phone going over the numbers while trying to keep some of the same coverage amounts. He was able to get my policies straightened-out and help save money. He valued every second and minute of my time that I was on the phone with him. I saved a lot by ditching Allstate and redoing my Homeowners policy and also my auto coverage payments per month. Since my daughters are both in college, I anticipate some savings there as well. If you feel that your current insurance company is devaluing your personal being and loyalty, give State Farm a try. I did and just that call with Josiah made a huge difference! I encourage you to do the same. No everyone's situation is the same, but mine came out positive. I asked how long Josiah has been with the office and he said 6 months but he handled my experience like a seasoned veteran and pro! Thank you Josiah for helping me find ways to save money in this difficult time. I'm so grateful!

Navigating how to acquire health insurance properly can be difficult for people of all ages and…read moreexperience. When I was attempting (and struggling) to acquire individual health insurance after losing my previous coverage, I was filled with stress because I wasn't receiving the health insurance package that I needed. After being sent round-and-round in circles on the phone with health insurance providers, I decided to take matters into my own hands and searched online for insurance brokers and assistants online- thats when I hit the lottery. and stumbled upon Kate at PDX Insurance & Associates. I called PDX Insurance & Associates with desperate hope (and without making an appointment), asking for insurance assistance and Kate answered the phone. Kate took the time between her own busy scheduled appointments to help walk me through my insurance process. She went step-by-step with me to ensure I got the insurance I needed (as I was needing a specific provider to keep my primary care doctors). Kate was exceptionally personable, answering all of my questions and concerns with ease and depth of knowledge. Within a half hour, Kate had found me the insurance I needed at a price I could afford. She talked with me about plans and specifically detailed (over the phone and through email) what the next steps of my process I would needed and submit to take to ensure my insurance application was processed and approved. Kate and her colleagues at PDX Insurance & Associates are highly skilled, exceptionally kind in their customer service, and have the experience and knowledge to calmly answer any questions or concerns you may be having about acquiring health and dental insurance. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back to PDX Insurance & associates (with a scheduled appointment next time) for my insurance assistance and I will be recommending them to all of my family and friends. Kate at PDX Insurance & associates made insurance a breeze and I am beyond grateful for this business.

But this is a caveat based on what happened to me today when I tried to get my own quote from Farmers (national), using the online contact number. Which I did. But this points out that independent agents, in general, are in a position to be much more helpful to the client. Some are, some are not, but It seems it would be worth the try. EL
