My husband and I are tremendously lucky and grateful that our search for the right attorney proved…read moreso fruitful in finding Harrington & Mahoney. Mark Mahoney's extensive experience in defending autistic people was integral to the positive outcome we were able to achieve. His knowledge and understanding of the autistic experience -- both for the child, AND the parents -- really came across to my husband and me, which put him way ahead of anyone else we spoke with while we searched for representation. In fact, the autism factor was not even considered as part of the defense for other attorneys we spoke with. We hired Mark from out of state, which is not uncommon, since he handles cases all over the country. In our case, Mark educated the prosecution about autism and autistic defendants, and in so doing, demonstrated that when prosecutors and judges are given the right information, in the right way, about autism, truly extraordinary outcomes are possible. We will forever be grateful, not only for Mark's wealth of knowledge on the subject of autism, but also for his patience, accessibility, and willingness to explain complicated issues. We hit the jackpot when we found this firm.

I had a SIMPLE case...and he insulted the judge, saying that he didn't think she was right. ..and here's the thing. Whether you think that the judge is wrong, or the attorney thinks that the judge is wrong, is fine. You keep that information to yourself. But he pretty much told her, "Well, I think you're wrong." And I lost my case. He's got a big mouth, he can't control himself under pressure, and I'd stay away from them. I feel like I lost my case because of him and his big, fat mouth.
