This is the worst bathroom stop I have experienced in a long time. Upon entry to the ladies room, it appeared that the ladies room had just been cleaned. The toilet seat was up. However, it was disgustingly dirty with poop all over the toilet seat when flipped upright. How do you clean the inside of the toilet & not see that the top of the entire toilet seat has poop all over it? WOW. I just can never un-see that now. Completely traumatized. Stopped by the Wawa near Gandy Blvd in Pinellas Park on Sunday afternoon, 12/7/25, after placing an order through the app. I walked in a few minutes later and waited at the pickup counter while another customer wrapped up. Their conversation with the clerk seemed friendly and light, which was nice to see. When it was my turn, the young man behind the counter greeted me right away and asked if I was waiting on a pickup order. I said yes, and he told me he was already working on it. He spoke in an easy, personable way that felt calm and genuine. He pulled my order together quickly, asked if I needed a bag -- I didn't -- and wished me a great day as I headed out. I didn't catch his name, but I want to recognize him for his attitude and work ethic. It was a small interaction, but it stood out. The remodel is amazing! But smelly people taking a nap propped up against the building by the main entrance is horrifying. You know what else is horrifying and alarming? All of your bank balance slips from the atm at this location. And they're not even ashamed, just leave the slip out for all to see. Alarm bells are ringing! Get to work and save save save!!! I pointed out the eyesore just outside of the foyer and the employee seemingly did nothing and he still remained 23 minutes later. Every one of your customers that came through the door stared at that nap taker. The public does not and never will want to shop at a store that has horrible scented zombies flopped against the building sleepy sleepy within nose whiff of the grand entrance of your store no matter how nicely you remodel it which again for 2024 is on boss mode, so do something abt your nap station. I love Wawa and this one was no exception. I was able to get everything I wanted that I usually get up north. Diet iced tea, peanut chews and a soft pretzel, yes please! Gas wasn't the cheapest around which I am used to from Wawa but it was cheaper than most. The other thing I love about Wawa is that you can use their ATM and not get charged fees. Oh boy, this is by far one of the worst Wawa stores that I've ever been to! What began as stopping by to fuel up to rectify the gas light that was bugging me on my dash, turned into needing to satisfy some hunger and I do know firsthand that Wawa has some great fresh-made sandwiches, and of course the Coke freestyle machines with lots of options. It was a Sunday afternoon around 2pm. I began pumping the regular unleaded gas and then spent the next 5-6 minutes watching dozens of birds dive-bombing the overflowing trash cans and garbage that was strewn about on the ground. It was entertaining to say the least. I will say that the inside of the store was just as bad as the outside. The staff here clearly don't care about the cleanliness of this store. I'm sure corporate does and hopefully, this one (& last) visit was just the exception rather than the norm. I'll stick to other Wawa stores just in case though. read more

I ordered a sandwich last night that was very disappointing. First off, the person making the sandwiches looked like she hated her job. No smile, no friendly gestures. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with L,T,O and mayo. I received a sandwich which was below standards. The roast beef tasted old, like it had been in t h e refrigerator for the last two weeks. I have not seen a wawa gas station has electric charge station. This one certainly has one. I saw a lot of local owner or traveler come here to charge up. They waited at the back of Station while the car is charged. Seem like a long benefit. I wonder they have to paid or free for the electric car. I glad that there is along the way charging station. The only inconvenience is the wait. It is make more sense to charge near the mall while they can shop and dine. But for Wawa is the first of the pioneering this project. Wawa's is certainly consistent across the locations, and what I like is that applies to the customer service as well. There was a short line of 4 and the guy opened another register. I love the crushed ice and its free where other places charge 50 cents, at this location it doesn't have a slight funny barely noticeable taste like the one on 34th and 62nd Ave N. The location is convenient because it is right there as you exit I275. Roomy gas station so with all the space you are not cramped in the place as you exit and enter. So many healthy food options too, boiled eggs, cheese, fresh fruits and veggies...it's like a mini grocery store made for people on the go. And besides the foods they prepare on the spot and cleanliness everywhere that is why Wawa's is so successful and popular...popping up in so many different locations at a rapid rate. Oh WAWA how I miss you. Having been away from FL for almost 4 years now, and visiting last February, I miss WAWA even more. This used to be my go to store, as it was convenient to US 19 and 275 and always had great prices on gas. I legit have never used the inside of the store but to occasionally take kids to the restroom. Which, may I add, was clean each time we did. But the distancing of the pumps, the ease with which you can get in and out of the parking lot, the convenience of WAWA...like no other. I'm telling y'all the West Coast would LOVE WAWA! My husband and I decided that we would stop and get something to eat from here to avoid the long wait time at the surrounding restaurants. This is the first time that the quality of food ordered has been bad from here. I ordered a chicken philly and my husband had a bbq chicken quesadilla. My chicken philly was cold( should have been a toasted/hot sub) and the bread was close to lukewarm. From the chicken to the cheese it was a disaster. My husbands quesadilla was runny as if non of the add on ingredients were drained off before being added. I also ordered a Oreo shake and it wasn't filled all the way. Had to fill up with gas before dropping the rental off at the airport and Wawa was the perfect stop. As I gassed up my daughter ran inside for one final treat before we left Tampa - some ice cream. Her coaches won't let the girls eat any dairy during the tournaments so ice cream is always a big finish for them. Gas pump areas and the inside of the Wawa were clean and everything seemed to work. The instant cheerfulness I get when the doors slide open and basically anything I want or need is at my finger tips. Just recently started going to this Wawa since we moved to the area. Friendly service from all the employees I've come into contact with so far. They have a nice walk in beer cooler. Store is clean and organized. And then you get to the other side of the store where you can order food 24 hours. What?! They have plenty of touch pad screens to order from. Customize your order, get your ticket number/receipt, pick up food and hand receipt to the convenience store side cashier to pay. Nice flow! Ordered an Italian for the hubby, he said it was pretty good. They also have great shakes. Coffee is decent too. I tried the dark roast and I didn't make my normal "eww what is this" face when I grab a gas station coffee from other places. Also noticed fruit and other prepared food items that looked good. And there is a pastry display- donuts, muffins, etc. I had a coffee cake muffin that was good. This place can get pretty busy. I'm not sure how fast ordering food is at peak times as I've only ordered late at night so far. I get the hype now though! Glad this place is near me. read more

Finally there is a gas station between the Gandy bridge and 19. Before, there were only two gas stations right before the bridge and nothing else until you hit the 19 This place is very spacious inside. The aisles are very wide. I ordered a fruit smoothie by the computer ordering system they have. It was easy and quick to use. You can order customized drinks and sandwiches etc. Although I haven't tried their food, I found their smoothie quite tasty and affordable compared to all the smoothie places. The gas price is also one of the cheapest in the area. I will go back again soon to see how they are doing after a month of their opening read more

I have been a Starbuck junkie for years. Then I walked into WaWa, and my life is changed. You walk up to the coffee bar full of fresh coffee and are faced with so many choices. They usually have at least six options to include flavored, and seasonal. Once you have your sm/med/lg/xlg, you then go to the flavor/creamer bar. Plenty of space and all kinds of options to pair with your drink. Everything from the seasonal pumpkin or hazelnut, to the oldies of french vanilla or plain, and for the health conscious-skim. All kinds of sweeteners available as well as multi types of lids. The large coffee is only $1.55, and the Xlg is 1.67. Fraction of the price at Starbucks and I find the pumpkin spice to be better and less calories. Fabulous! read more

Wow! Their chicken salad sandwich is amazing!! I think they only use white breast in it and a 10" HUGE sandwich is just 5.95!! (Even with added tomatoes, lettuce, onions, extra Mayo, peppers, etc...!) I don't know why anyone would buy one of their pre-wrapped sandwiches in the cooler section! ( My review is strictly for the touch-screen/hot food to go part of this store... ) The Wawa chain is a very nice and welcome addition to our area. They run a well-organized "ship" here, fast, efficient, and the store is always very clean. The touch pad screens are a great way to order. Less confusion! I've been here over a dozen times now and my orders have always been 100% correct. Both their hot and cold subs are really great, especially for the price! They do not skimp on meat or toppings whatsoever. Honestly, these subs are overflowing with great stuff and I often am forced to enjoy some with a fork before I can even pick it up to bite into it. And their awesome "HoagieFest" Summer specials? Wow! They put that formerly-Jared associated sub joint to shame with both price and quality. Just try one sub and you will likely agree. I did run into one minor problem. I was offered a 99-cent mac 'n cheese with my sub order. I only noticed upon arriving home that I was charged full price for this hot side item. I pointed this out to the Wawa staff on my next visit and was promptly given a free $10 gift card for their error. In this day and age, that is amazing customer service! My only request would be to make your unique "TRIPLETA" sub a regular offering. It is a ham/pulled pork/cheesesteak beef, magical combo of a hot sub. A bargain for the size, my friend and I had to share one and we were both left happy and stuffed! So please consider giving Wawa a try. The subs are great, but that Tripleta is MAGIC! read more

This is the WORST service I've ever got. Your employee needs to learn what customer service is. I went in today 12/23 around 2:10 and decided to get some lottery tickets from the machine which got jammed and it kept my money (a $20 bill and a $10 bill) so I had to call an employee. This person was extremely rude, arguing that there was inly a $20 and not a $10 so I asked for him to check the camera as I have no reason to lie. He still insisted that there was only a $20 and went to close the machine and as soon as he did, MY $10 fell off. He didn't even apologize. And let me tell you, I will make sure to use all my social media to complain about this rude employee. People with no manners should not work on customer service. read more

I have a coworker from Philly. She hasn't been able to stop talking about the Wawa opening. And once it opened, she's been there multiple times a week, and finally converted all of us. On one hand, just an excellent place for a gas station. I can head there after work, fill up cheaper than other places in the area, and quickly get back on 275. On the other, it is also a huge convenience store/sandwich shop, which is probably the big driver in coming. Gas + Food = win. Now to be honest, the beer selection in the walk-in cooler is mediocre at best. This is why I still usually head to the Rally on Ulmerton, which was one of the best beer selections in the city. Also, of the one sandwich I got, I wasn't impressed. Publix makes a FAR superior sandwich. But there are tons of options, so I should try more just to get a better vibe. The soup is phenomenal. Had the lobster bisque and it was warm and creamy. This would be good in a fancy restaurant - for being in a gas station, mindblowing. And they have tons of other stuff - flavored teas, mini pies, Herr's potato chips, snacks and more. All in all, worth the trip, not the end all-be all of convenience stores, no matter how many transplants will try to tell you so. read more

Ohhhh! Okay, I get it now, WaWa devotees. I, like most people in Tampa Bay, had never heard of WaWa until they revealed their intention to conquer the local gas station/convenience store market last year sometime. You can now count me as a WaWa convert. Prior to my conversion I purchased most of my gas at Hess stations. They always had cheap gas and clean, well-lit premises. However, for those times when I felt like getting a bite to eat, I found that their food selection was less than palatable. Grease, grease and more grease...with a little sodium thrown in for good measure. That's where WaWa trumps Hess and every other gas station/convenience store. They have cheap gas (reason enough to go) AND real food. Yes, I said real food! So far I've tried various chicken and turkey wraps (don't eat red meat) and found them to be delicious and exceedingly fresh. I've also had one of their green apple and caramel fruit cups and enjoyed it very much. It was obvious that the apples were very freshly cut , and as such, very juicy. Loved it. WaWa also provides fresh made sandwiches 24 hours a day. Awesome for us night owls! The sandwich counter is laid out much like at Subway, although that's where the similarity ends. You order on touchpads by clicking on the image of the ingredients you want. I'll confess that I have yet to order a sandwich here but have heard all the rave reviews from friends and coworkers. Apparently you can actually taste the meat (hear that Subway!) and the bread doesn't go limp like an old man's.....never mind! You'll also find the usual assortment of snacks, drinks and coffee as at other gas stations/convenience stores. I'm not a coffee drinker but I keep hearing from those that do that WaWa's coffee is supposed to be really good. Take that for what it's worth. What an experience! We had a Wawa in my hometown in Connecticut in the 1970's and it was just a clean & friendly convenience store. But this takes it to a whole new level. I bought gas there five days after the grand opening (cheapest price around), and then parked in front and walked in. If you've never experienced their menu and automated ordering, it requires an orientation, and there are friendly greeters who provide that, and can also take your order. It's packed at lunchtime, and busy but not too crowded around 2:30pm. I waited about 6-7 minutes after ordering for my goodies. The whole build-your-own-sub-on-the-touchscreen thing is just COOL, though old fogies may have trouble with it. Familiarity with a tablet or smartphone helps a lot. The choices are extensive, but customizing your sandwich is just plain FUN. Once you're finished ordering, the machine spits out a ticket with your order number, and you go pay the cashier. You can buy other items or coffee or whatever and pay for that as well. When your order's ready, they announce your number and you show your paid receipt. One trick I saw some folks do is order a sandwich(es) and drink(s) in two separate orders, producing two separate tickets, and have one person wait for the hoagies and one hang out by the drinks counter. My customized Italian hoagie was very good, and the roasted red pepper was fresh and delicious. The sandwiches are NOT as good as Publix, being more similar to Subway, but with fresher ingredients and more customization. At about $3 for the basic Italian 6" hoagie, they're a bargain! My frozen mocha cappuccino was a little watery, but good nonetheless. Be aware that these drinks are chemically concocted, using things like "Dairy Base," and "Espresso Packet," (whatever they are) but I'm all for nonhealthy treats IF they are really tasty. I'm looking forward to trying their soups, and brewed coffee in future visits. The 24-hour aspect of this place is also intriguing. I can definitely see it as a very late night munchies stop for folks too buzzed to tell filet mignon from ground ostrich. Sort of like White Castle. This techno-food-cultural wasteland is probably our future, but philosophical considerations aside, it's a good place for a variety of freshly assembled/heated quick snacks. At least the sign doesn't say: "Eat Here, Get Gas." Yet. read more

Does Publix finally have competition in the realm of deli sandwiches? No, that would be blasphemy. But after finally making a trip to try Wawa, I'm definitely believing the hype. I had the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak, which comes with pepper jack, buffalo sauce and jalapenos. The chicken was surprisingly good, the sauce had a kick but was not overpowering, and the jalapenos provided those few spicy bites that really pushed it over the edge. GF had an italian sub, I'm not a fan of ham but it was not too shabby. Everything tasted fresh. Best part of all this? Two sandwiches, some pretzels and a drink to share for less than $13. Wawa is the best glad they made it down here I missed them from my exposure to them in the northeast. Wawa is not just a fuel / convenience store, Wawa is an experience from the moment you walk in. The friendly and inviting atmosphere draws you into all it has to offer. One of my favorite areas is the touch screen kiosks that are located around the sandwich creation area. I looked forward anytime I drove through NJ OR PA and stopping here just to have the ability to construct a sandwich on one of their touch screens.There are countless options enabling you to create your masterpiece no matter how wacky the combination without the crazy looks you would get if you ordered it the regular way. The fresh baked bread is a high point here with its crusty and moist creaminess. It supports no matter what you throw on it. If you love coffee like myself, they have some of the best coffee around with an enormous selection of flavors and combinations to create the Java concoction of your choice. The coffee is fresh round the clock , you will never encounter mud here. There is also an endless beverage options from Icee's ( which are far superior to Slurpee's) to endless soda combinations either self serv or the bottled kind. And to top it off they have some the best fuel prices around with the added benefit that they do accept Wright Express Fleet cards! read more
