I've always loved wawa..mostly because of the free air machines. This was my first time visiting this location and also my first time having a salad from Wawa. & I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at the salad quality! I got the southwest chicken salad. The grilled chicken was warmed to a perfect temperature, the lettuce was fresh, and there was ample toppings. The bowl has enough space to shake up and mix. The overall taste was great. The Wawa in general was quiet and clean. The associates were helpful. I can't wait to have another salad.

I was really excited to try out Wawa for the first time after hearing so many good things about it. I've heard that their sandwiches were on-point and that they're a better version of 7-Eleven. I had their spicy pepper brisket, mozzarella sticks, clam chowder with a buttered roll and a mango and banana smoothie all for lunch. The ordering process was done at a touchscreen kiosk to cut down on the ordering wait time. All you had to do was wait for your order number to be called when its done. I wish a lot more fast food joints can implement this ordering process to minimize error and wait time. I was not a big fan of their spicy pepper brisket. The brisket wasn't tender and was a bit on the dry side. I wasn't expecting much from a gas station convenience store, but I'd pass on the spicy pepper brisket sandwich and opt for their other offerings. The mozzarella sticks tasted like school lunch cardboard, so I'd skip that next time as well. The real show-stopper was their clam chowder. Even if it weren't fresh and came straight out of a can, I enjoyed the flavor a lot and it complemented the buttered roll extremely well. I should've ordered a large instead of the small haha. The mango and banana smoothie with an extra serving with immunity boost was refreshing, thirst-quenching and nice and yogurt-y. Overall, I had a pretty decent first experience at Wawa. I look forward to the next time I'm in the middle of nowhere and looking for a quick and inexpensive bite to eat. Everything I ordered came out to about $18 and change.

Wawa never disappoints and always has fresh coffee and food. Gas prices are good too at most locations.

Wawa is the best! Go to for coffee, creamer, sandwiches, gas, etc. Wish they were more towards the Midwest.

The Convenience Store aka "Frelinghuysen Deli" as per on GrubHub, UberEats, Postmates, Google... * It has a full scale food operation and arguably deserves a stand-alone Yelp account to signal to hungry travelers that this place goes above and beyond a typical gas station convenience store in NJ. I guess these smaller scale gas stations are now competing with the likes of Wawa and QuickCheck, so they have to get creative. * There is a sign posted up that says deli prices were increased in May 2022, and judging by the fact that I paid a whopping $7 for (1) liter of coconut water {@ $5} and an individually-wrapped pastry item from the basket at the counter {@ $2}, I'd assume that most other convenience store items cost more than average.

I had a Virgin America flight back to Los Angeles, and wanted to grab food. Nearby my gate was a…read moreCoffee/ Panini place (meh!) and a Ruby Tuesday (meh!). The food to go from Ruby didn't look appealing, and then I spotted this kiosk. The sandwich selection was plentiful, and some even kosher. After standing there for about 5 minutes, I narrowed it down to the "Cuban" sandwich, and a Chicken pesto. I picked up 2 salads for my friends, a bag of chips, and a water. I wasn't expecting the total to be cheap, but at $49 it wasn't as bad as I thought. My Chicken pesto was pretty tasty. It was a bit dry (so stop at the condiment counter for mayo, mustard or whatever) but it did the job and went great with my kettle chips. Stephen said the Cuban wasn't bad. It was not a "real" Cuban (and I never thought it would taste like one) but it did the job. I probably would suggest looking at the expire date. Fortunately mine was dated April 1, and I took this flight on March 30.

I get that prices (for everything) in airport terminals are insane. That doesn't bother me. If I…read morecared enough about the price gouging, I wouldn't spend $2.30+ on a Coke and I'd use the water fountains. What I do care about is not getting a mouthful of sadness when I spend $2.30+ on a Coke. When I took my first sip, my tastebuds were immediately hit with a liquid that was: (a) flat, (b) sour, and (c) horrible in every sense. Because I wasn't in a rush to get on a plane at that particular moment, I was able to walk back to the register, hand the bottle to the clerk, and tell her I wanted a new one. She looked at me like I was crazy until I pointed at the date on the bottle, which was four months past its expiration. She took a good hard look, and responded with a "... Yeah. Okay, here's one that isn't expired." She was nice about it at least. Moral of the Story: Not Market Fresh. They're selling old stuff. Check the expiration dates; if you end up buying something right before rushing on to a plane, you're likely to take a swig/bite of something that should have gone in the trash (but didn't) and you can't do anything to remedy it at that point.

Came over when I pulled up and just held his hand out and didn't move so I had to open the door and reach towards him to hand him my card. He asked how much I need and I said "sir I don't know, it just needs to be full" and he shook his head and became very angry and said "I ain't even got time for nothing like that" and walked off. Again, I'm unsure if I am supposed to take it out because he wasn't coming back. I asked him if it was ok if I did, trying to be respectful towards him and he was just so angry about it and wouldn't look at me or anything. I was pretty uncomfortable to where he seemed like he might become violent. You're a gas station right before the airport, literally anyone more accommodating would be better than this guy. Probably why nobody was there. You'd only have to go one time and never go again. Not sure what he didn't have time for. He just went and stood by his buddy working the center part. I'm sure it's just this young man's mentality to be angry, but I don't think he even possesses the skills to pump gas and if he treats everyone the way he treated me, I don't think he'll have the luxury of becoming an old man.

We are used to filling our own gas so weren't sure and asked if we are supposed to pay inside. He said "you know what, yeah, go pay inside" dismissively and walked away. We paid inside and came back out and waited for him to fill our tank. There are stickers on the pump that say "Warning: New Jersey state law- do not fill up your own tank of gas. Wait for an attendant." The attendant came back and said "just fill it yourselves" and we said "are you sure? It says to wait for you, isn't that against the law?" and he said "yeah just fill it" and walked away and never came back. While we were there he filled up two other cars and they didn't seem to do anything different. There was also only one attendant pumping gas so we couldn't go to someone else as we already prepaid inside. We really didn't know if we were supposed to pay a different way as it was our first time in the state but it really soured our morning. Don't know if it was our rental car or out of state license but they should really not work at a gas station right before the airport highway stop if they don't want to serve non locals.
