GiGi's Ice Cream of Punta Gorda…read more Atmosphere & Service I stopped by to check out GiGi Ice Cream to try the lobster roll. An ice cream shop that serves lobster rolls sounded too interesting to pass up. Inside, the shop was clean, neat, and pleasantly cool. I ordered at the front counter and had my food in hand within just a few minutes. Menu Highlights * Hot dogs * Lobster Rolls * Ice cream options ranging from sorbet to gluten-free varieties * Specialty drinks, including milkshakes, smoothies, and ice cream floats What I Ordered I ordered the lobster roll, which came with my choice of chips, melted butter, lemon, and a pickle. Final Impression & Rating The meal arrived on a plastic plate with a fitted cover--a clever and convenient touch. The lobster roll was simply amazing, with so much lobster packed inside that pieces fell out with every bite. The toasted roll was excellent, and the melted butter and lemon made the lobster even better. Even the pickle was good. Finding a lobster roll this impressive at an ice cream shop still blows my mind. It is the best lobster roll I have had in the area. I'm already looking forward to returning. A huge yellow tea cup built into the sides attracting customers to "Fresco" is truly what caught my eyes. The true star is all the gorgeous treats! Note: my mom devoured the limoncello cake in the car and didn't share and then she took me to lunch! After paying for my $8 affogato (can't put a price on good gelato) I was given the most generous portion. I will never forget watching that gorgeous lemon gelato fluff up. Not only do they make all their yummy treats in house, they offer a cozy sitting area. But best of all, they have a curated selection of pasta and olive oil imported from Italy.
