We enjoyed our ice cream sundaes and scenic views. The ice cream and hot fudge were homemade, but the whipped cream wasn't, which is my reason for giving it 4 instead of five stars! Still a great place with good and quick service. read more

A great little shop right by the water. Perfect ending to a lunch or diner up at the crab house! The shop offer a nice large selection of flavors to mix and match. They are fairly priced and delicious. They offer a few tables outside that are mostly occupied but you can get lucky. Service is fast and friendly. It's a nice little shop with nice views to enjoy your ice cream. read more

This is our second time in a year going to this ice cream shop while visiting family in Punta Gorda. We were waited on by the same young girl as our last visit. She was so sweet and very patient with our family again. The ice cream is our favorite around and the location is beautiful. We sat inside this time. And although we had to listen to some negative ladies who were intoxicated, complaining about a broken ice cream cone the entire time they were checking out, the experience again was A+! My family stopped by Harborwalk for a sweet treat after lunch. Harborwalk is located in the back of the building, overlooking the marina. There are signs pointing to the shop as well as a sign outside with list of flavors. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was young and wasn't the warmest. They acted inconvenienced which made me afraid to ask for samples. I only tried two flavors and I went with one of my go-to flavors, coffee chip. Fortunately, it was delicious. It was creamy but not heavy and the flavor was on point. The rest of my group also loved their ice cream. read more

First, the deets. Then, a story. This little shop is hidden on the harbor side of the crab restaurant. Parking is free but it's a real bear to find a spot, at least on a sunny Friday afternoon. The ice cream flavors are multitudinous (and so are your choices of cones), the scoopers are cute and the outdoor seating features spectacular views of the harbor (which is probably why you'll pay 4 bucks for a single scoop of ice cream in a cake cone. Now, the story: I will go miles for peanut butter. If the ice cream has peanut butter cups, that's good. If it has peanut butter ribbons, that's better (but it's usually ribboned in chocolate ice cream, as it is here, which is a compromise). But if it is actual peanut butter ICE CREAM, well, that's the holy grail and a truly rare find. Harbor side doesn't have the holy grail, but its Caramoo is pretty darn good. Now, I don't have to describe what's in "strawberry" or "praline caramel swirl," but I took a risk on Caramoo based on looks alone, and I came away mighty happy. Caramoo is premium vanilla ice cream with ribbons of chocolate and, wait for it, mini peanut butter cups. I don't know why they didn't call it Peanutbuttapoo, but then I didn't get a say. read more

Yummy ice cream, good ambiance, service is good, but the parking is a challenge :( so check your parking 1st before going.

Cute little shop that's tucked away behind the building when you first pull in. Awesome ice cream selection. Limited seating indoors. Staff was not very friendly at all, but the delicious ice cream made all the difference in our experience! read more

Very good ice cream that is made in house! They also had a ton of flavors to choose from. I got the kiddie size and it is pretty decent amount with 2 scoops. They have a little area to sit inside and an area to sit outside and enjoy the view of the harbor. Recommends stopping here if you get the chance! read more

Both the ice cream and service were phenomenal. Can't wait to go back the next time. I'm staying in Punta Gorda to go over there and have dessert. It's nice when you can put a positive yelp review on for good work. read more

Ice cream is usually hit-or-miss. Its either wonderful creamy and tastes exactly like what you are dreaming and what you're looking for .... or its thin or icy or old or not stored properly. These guys got it ALL right!!!! Fresh tasty waffle cone. I got two scoops. The vanilla ice cream could pass as a gelato in many places. Rich, flavorful, creamy with a beautiful fat percentage that is very satisfying but not not "oily". The regular (not artifical sugar) butter pecan was also smooth but chunky and full flavored. Not funky funny flavored. Both awesome ice creams. A perfect dessert on a warm humid Florida night. The counter folks were.congenial and friendly and welcoming. Thank you. read more

It was definitely a wonderful surprise stop for us. We were on way back from St. Pete and my husband wanted to have ice cream somewhere. We read some reviews and decided to stop here, but tried to manage our expectation not too high. After I had waffle corn double scoops of orange pineapple and coffee chips and my husband had double scoops of peanut butter and chocolate, my husband then went back in and got his second double scoops. That tells you how good it is! The waffle is just perfect and fresh, and the several favors of ice cream are super awesome! Will visit again any time when we pass by! If you're looking for a scenic spot for some tasty ice cream with a HUGE variety of flavors (grapenuts, anyone?) this is the place to visit. My 6 year old had cotton candy flavor, my 3 year old enjoyed the Birthday Cake flavor, which I NEVER would have ordered because it's blue, but it happened to be THE BEST FLAVOR, like liquid cake batter. I had the butter pecan and my mom had the most scrumptious toasted coconut. I'd definitely recommend the coconut and birthday cake. In any event, if you're in the Punta Gorda area and want ice cream with a view, hit up Harborwalk Scoops! read more

I'm trying to figure out why this place got almost a five star rating - as were the 3 other people I came with. The ice cream didn't have much flavor. The service was really good. there is also a nice view if you go during good weathe. read more

Sad day at Harborwalk Scoops & Bites. Four of us went for ice cream and they were out of all of our first picks, and we all selected a different flavor, and some secondary choices were out as well. The servers had the attitude of, yeah, we're out of all those flavors, you'll get what's here or nothing. No, they didn't say that, but that's how it felt. So then I started to look for what else was out of place, stuff strewn across the floor behind the counter, and dirty floors and tables out front. It was quite a disappointing visit for us residents and our guest. Needless to say we won't be taking future guests there. Especially, not when there are many other ice cream shops in town. read more

Wanted a classic sundae and I got it! Lots of flavors. Ice cream was a little hard and not super lush, but I got my cookies and hot fudge so I was overall happy. They even made a pup cup for my pup! Came here to get a relaxed dessert after lunch in the fishermen's village - there were some ice cream options there but it was too crowded for my taste. Harborwalk was busy but there was ample outdoor seating to chill out in. Great way to end the day read more

TripAdvisor named this ice cream shop the best in the United States. While I don't agree with such accolade, I can see why people love this place with its 30+ homemade flavors, friendly staff, and fabulous view of the water. Stopped in after spending a few hours walking around town, we were immediately greeted with a smile by the owner and a member of the staff and we were offered a taste of anything we wanted to try. This is just a great place to enjoy a refreshing drink or some great ice cream and we were told in about another week they will be offering Sno-balls this will be a great addition to their already winning selections. The place was super clean and they have a great offering of ice creams and cold drink and yes as stated on their website a bottle of water is only 50 cents (check out their website there is a lot information and well done) This is definitely worth bookmarking for future reference, we definitely will return during our next visit to the area I am sure I will choose the soft and smooth Sno-ball since they are one of my favorite things in the world lol read more

A fun place to go with kids or kids at heart! I grabbed a shave ice from here. I know a lot of people come here for the ice cream but hey, the heart wants what it wants! Definite winner if you are in Punta Gorda and need some ice cream! Awesome unique flavors, and you can't be sitting or walking around the harbor as you enjoy. I like bananas and really liked the "Monkey Business" with banana flavored ice cream, chocolate shell chunks and bits of something like graham cracker. Some of the people in my group thought that some of the flavors were a bit mild, but everyone said we would come back again, we liked the service and the view as we looked out across the harbor. Wander around in back of the Laishley Crab House to find this gem! A few of us walked around the park afterward to burn some of those ice cream calories! read more

Fantastic place to get great ice cream and watch the sun set over the harbor. It's a small place and they have a few tables and some seating outside as well. The staff has been friendly both times that we have visited while on vacation. The ice cream flavors are unique but they have a few of the classics as well. You can try samples before you commit to a flavor so that's nice. I wish there were restrooms inside though as it would have been helpful in my particular case ;). Overall it was a very nice experience both times and we would highly recommend. read more

I was delighted and surprised to find 4 Vegan choices. So surprised that I asked the young lady behind the counter if they were dairy free. She assured me that they were made with Coconut milk and completely dairy free. I ordered the chocolate because I haven't had chocolate in over 5 years due to lactose intolerance. I spent the next 5 hours in the public bathroom with cramping and diarrhea. The Chocolate Vegan ice cream is NOT dairy free( or Vegan for that matter). You can fool a lot of people but you can't fool my gut. My guess is they used milk chocolate to make it. Needless to say I won't be back. read more
