So, wife to be does her research and gets good ground level intel and gives Amy at And How! a call. She saw her work and heard great things about her. Wednesday is the wedding day...and she was calling on MONDAY. (I wasn't lying when I said it was at the last moment). Even though Amy had a shoot booked for that day, she so kindly rearranged things a little and, BAM, we got ourselves a photographer. Wife to be had several ideas of locations, shots, and even examples of what she wanted. Amy loved all of that and there was a lot of back and forth between the two to come up with some great locations. On the big day, Amy was right on time and ready to go. We had a blast with her as we drove to a bunch of different locations throughout Nashville. She had some great ideas, and between her and my wife, we really ended up with a ton of amazing pictures. Honestly, after seeing what my wife wanted to duplicate and seeing what Amy actually shot, I thought that Amy's work was better time and time again. About three days later, I was in his one-on-one training session, learning more than I even thought possible for a four hour beginner's class. Then I paid a pretty penny for a pretty neat DSLR Nikon. I spent more time trying to get comfortable with my camera and just getting a feel for the settings, buttons, and shooting with it. I took some decent images out in the park and around town. But I felt I could definitely use an in-person one-on-one tutorial on both my camera and photography basics/ best practices. Finding Leslie was truly the best thing that could have happened in my photography journey so far. It was super easy to pay and schedule a session with him online via his website. His communication prior to our meeting was super responsive, and let me tell you, I learned more in our 4 hour one-on-one than I did in the ENTIRE month on my own since I've had my camera. He was down to earth, easy to talk with, super encouraging, and his knowledge of photography is unmatched. His photography work also matches his knowledge, and it was refreshing to know that he still actively shoots as well. He even put together a workbook too that he goes over with you and you can take home as well. I love to read and study, so I really appreciated that. I'm a beginner, but I'm sure I will be contacting Leslie many times in the future for more advanced sessions as my photography and editing skills improve.

I decided to become a baby club member for my newborn since she was running a special. BIG mistake... I was asked to reschedule every session but one. It took 6 weeks to get newborn pictures back so I was unable to send out birth announcements. I waiting at least 6 weeks for every session held and sometimes 7 to 8 weeks. Images have slobber all over face and clothes. Editing is not what it should be if it takes that long to edit photos they should look better than these. A lot of filters are used and hardly look natural in the light. The company she uses to order photos from is ridiculous. $15 for each 4x6 haha crazy! The baby club I signed up for included an album and of course have not received that. Did I mention she cancelled my one year cake smash last minute? Yep had to find someone else to do it and pay more money out of pocket to do that, oh yeah she requires you to pay up front! (DON'T DO IT) she owes me for that session and all communication has stopped after trying to get ahold of her about pictures we still haven't received after a session and the money she owes me for cancelling after agreeing to the payment.
