If you are a military family, especially a military spouse, DO NOT GO HERE. I came in hoping for…read moreprofessional support on a postnuptial agreement. Instead, I was talked down to, gaslit, and nearly handed the wrong document to sign. The attorney assigned to my case, Miguel Gatmaytan, was condescending from the beginning, referring to me as "ma'am" with a tone that screamed superiority, not respect. He repeatedly implied that the agreement I requested was "too favorable" to me, despite the fact that it was being reviewed by two legal teams (mine and my husband's). Since when is protecting a stay-at-home mother's financial future a problem? To top it off, Mr. Gatmaytan bragged that the firm charges $300 an hour, as if that justified the dismissive tone and lack of client care. If anything, it made the whole experience worse: expensive and insulting. The office manager, Kayla Whitford, was CC'd on multiple emails that reflected his tone and lack of professionalism, and never once stepped in or apologized. Silence is complicity. Military families deserve better than this. We sacrifice enough, we shouldn't also have to beg for basic professionalism from people we're paying.
