Spent 3+ hours at Watra during our second night of our visit in Zakopane. We started at the bar seating area where it was quiet and had soup and smoked cheese. Both dishes were great. We moved over to the seating area where the dance floor was for our main course. I had the steak - it came out sizzling! It was delicious! The dance floor was lively all night long. We got here because we were told of the quality of this place. The menu selection was impressive. The ambience is of 1970s socialist Zakopane style. Unfortunately service is also from late communist period. Our dishes have arrived suspiciously fast. Some grilled meats were great. However, our white sausage was literally stinking. When I have complained, the server took the sausage away. Then she came back and told us that the Manager has tried the sausage and told her it was good. We asked to see the Manager. Ms. Izolda Szymon came in and told us that the sausage was good and she ate it. I told her it was stinking. She told us that we don't need to eat here. No apologies, replacement ir compensation. Awesome food, beautiful place for the whole family. Live music, with a huge dance floor and there are people of all ages dancing, wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend for people who are visiting zakopane and want to try traditional polish cuisine. They also brew their own beer, definitely worth a try. read more

The restaurant looks amazing with the huge pans full of meat and so on. We sat in the pub and it was windy there, we were freezing a little. I ordered pork neck and my boyfriend ordered fish. The food came pretty fast, but it was not what we expected. It was just the meat/fish and sauce. I had a spoon of a thin garlic sauce and a spoon of a cheap and also thin lingonberry sauce for three steaks. The meat was not marinated and was very tough. There was no side at all. Not even a leaf of salad. Maybe it's my bad that I didn't notice that there are no sides included, but isn't that usual to put at least a teenyweenie salad on the plate? The same thing was with my boyfriend's fish, although he had a lot of radish sauce. Too bad, the place looked nice. read more

Rude staff, food was mediocre, seating indoors was awkward and uncomfortable. The beers from their brewery were good, hence the 1 star. There are way better places further down the street. read more

Food is not bad, waiters were rude as soon as they figured out I'm a tourist and don't speak English. Other restaurants in the area had better food and service. Only thing that made me rank a 2 star is that they brew their own beer which is excellent beer. read more

Place looks grate, food so, so, depending what you order I guess. My Golonka was dry but my daughter's ribs delicious ! same with Kwasnica (soup). I definitely recommend this place especially to try their beer or few... Another think I can complain about this place is the situation with salad bar etc.it just make no sense (in my opinion ). Regarding the waiters - all fine they should just smile more often, that is all ... don't forget that your tips depend on it read more
