A smaller but festive spot filled with food and souvenir vendors! I'm glad I visited this place…read moresince the vendors currently only open on the weekends! I took a few pictures here and enjoyed my time exploring; they do have a few instagrammable spots! Do make sure to check on google if they're open! It only took me 15-20 minutes to go around the vendors and explore the area (was expecting it to be bigger) but they also have food stalls you can try if you want to spend more time here! There's also a parking lot!

We found street parking and walked to the flea market in a parking lot right across from D'Amico's…read morerestaurant in the Rice Village Shopping center. There were tons of young families and student shoppers at this trendy market full of funky handmade jewelry, soap, and thrift clothes. A huge line formed for people waiting for ice cream sandwiches at a food truck parked in front of the market on this sunny Sunday. There were about 20 different stands with friendly vendors in this relatively small flea market. My husband's favorite vendors were selling paintings with Star Wars themes and Japanese influence. These paintings were pretty pricey ranging from 200-400 dollars. Handmade jewelry was very reasonably priced ranging from $5 to $50. Most vendors were ready to negotiate prices. After shopping around you can cross the street and have lunch on the patio at D'Amico's or Torchy's Tacos. I'll definitely visit this market again once cool weather sets in to shop for holiday gifts.

They do have a large selection of interior design books which I would have liked to sit and browse through, but this is not the kind of place to do that.

My review is from the standpoint of a potential consigner. I tried for a couple of months to move…read moreforward with consignment of a collection of items, Cambodian antiques. I submitted the form for a collection to the art department. The confirmation of submission email I received indicated it might take up to a week to get a response, so after a couple of weeks I sent a follow up email. I never got a response to my submission or to my follow-up attempt. I then forwarded the email to the main email address for The Guild, and again, nothing. I waited a while and then reached out again to follow up. No response. I also attempted to reach someone by phone. This process was really exasperating, and I eventually gave up and took my items somewhere else. At the very minimum, their confirmation email should've indicated it might take weeks or months to receive a response, if that was the issue. If they did not want the items, all it would've taken would have been a one-line email to let me know. I followed all the instructions on the website. I couldn't bring the items in because the website indicated you could only bring one or two items in on the designated art day, and that if it were more, that you had to submit that form to the art department. It is bizarre to me that I would receive no response to my submissions through these official channels. I also sent a follow up email indicating how unhappy I was with my experience, and I received no response to that either. My advice is to take your items somewhere else for consignment. It is not worth the trouble to do it at The Guild. It was a complete waste of time for me.

It appeared to have more stuff on each shelf. But I don't know if they will be more choosy on buying more stuff from people. I particularly don't want to wait 45 minutes to sell my stuff. There is only one person at the selling booth and one cashier for check out. Besides, there was nothing for me to buy. I think I'll donate and shop at Out of Closet thrift store. It's only 6 minutes away by foot.
