Breakfasts were yummy & beautifully arranged! I especially enjoyed the homemade enormous cinnamon role and Pannekoeken which is a Dutch pancake. We had breakfast with all the folks staying and everyone had interesting, fun stories to share with their impressions of what they did the day before and their plans for the day ahead. Yes they are good she said her husband would be back to plow before morning when Im just getting off work and lay some sand down and it never happend. Beds were also very comfortable as well. My only complaint - while it was nice to have A/C, it didn't work super well. I think the filter needed cleaning (this is an issue with so many hotels I've stayed at). Beyond that, everything was great. Very peaceful location as well - nice views from the front porch.

I was able to sleep in, read, sit on the porch and watch the deer, and wander the area and property taking photographs. For someone who works 7 days a week, this was a wonderful respite and time with nature. The owners were helpful and kind. Read the FAQs, don't expect to be fed a whole lot to do--that's really not the point. I look forward to returning some day to experience what it's like in a different season and explore other roads and little gems in the Driftless.

That was a little problem since we couldn't fully relax and play music quietly outside. There weren't a lot of instructions on where to find the remotes to the various electronics including the fan and the wifi did not work at all. The firewood was a bit expensive at 10$ per bundle. It was a small cozy little cottage and the owners made sure it had all the things you might need for a weekend getaway. The cabins are set in the beautiful hilly area of Driftless of Wisconsin and has absolutely stunning views. Might fo back to try a different cabin.
