Josh guided us through the process and provided insightful knowledge about all aspects of the business. Supper was provided for us by the Adam and Eve pub who were very accommodating of everyone's needs. Definitely recommend for something different to do - you even get to keep some of your own beer to finish at home (although I have yet to taste mine).

We brought beer isn't particularly big inside but it is well presented and the recent addition of benches outside makes it much easier to enjoy a drink while coming here to stock up on your favorite Craft beers, As you'd expect there are lot of beers from all over the UK however there is also a very good range of beers from the US and elsewhere in Europe. There is also nicely tucked away in the corner 6 kegs of beer so you can enjoy a pint or two whilst deciding which beers to take home. Whilst the beer selection here is huge it's obvious that a lot of thought has gone into which beers to stock and which styles to concentrate on. The people who run We brought beer certainly know their beers and are very enthusiastic too. I have been fortunate to attend two of the beer talks and tasting sessions and both were very informative and well run.

There is ample fridge space for bottles, which is good to see. They also have a few taps for growler fills and on-site drinking, which is fun. The selection emphasizes UK breweries, and London in particular, but there is also stuff from continental Europe and the US. The staff is friendly and happy to help. The prices are perhaps a touch higher than some other bottle shops around London, but I wouldn't say they are egregious. Convenient location if you're using public transport. Overall, definitely a good shop and worth checking out.

I ended up going for the Salem, which was a rye pale with a lot of flavor and a wholeeee lot of body. Plato Brewery serves up some solid brews, and their most unique bit is that they sell take-home brew kits!

The whole outfit is crammed into a cube-shaped shipping container that's roughly three metres by three metres by three metres. Inside the they've got two fridges holding four kegs and a selection of yeasts, some shelves and drawers with other brewing essentials, grains, hops, etc. For now they offer c. four beers on draft to drink there (half or full pint measures) or the proprietor - Adam - will fill a bottle and cap it for takeaway. The quality of the beers is variable, but some are quite enjoyable. Adam says he's hoping to start offering proper bottles and growlers in the near future, and perhaps doing some gypsy brewing. For now, he's brewing extremely small batches in this little container and selling it on site. Definitely a brewery to keep an eye on.
