We have a carport and put our family car under it which keeps our toddler out of the elements a little bit. We are on the top floor so we don't hear much noise from our neighbors. Nothing in the unit seems "cheap" which is a breath of fresh air. Other apartments in this price range are typically outdated from what I've seen. I wish the parking lot lighting was a bit better, but all in all I'm very happy. I called to alert them that my mailbox key doesn't work and they called back quickly and are resolving the issue the same day.

Angie the manager of the apartment complex left black mold in my apartment for 2 years and refused to remove it until I told her that I was going to throw it out in the yard. And then I was served an eviction notice the black mold is in the furnace. And then my dryer vent blowed 2 holes in the vent hose and she said just put tape on it I will send maintenance over to fix it about 2 months ago and it still has clear masking tape that can catch fire anytime, so this is not a good place to live unless you don't care to have anything repaired the right way. So before you sign an 18 month lease you might want to rethink the situation. I have had sinus and lung infections for 3 years from the black mold, I couldn't figure out why I was getting sinus and lung infections so I removed the vent on top of the furnace and there was the black mold in the furnace. So good luck to anyone who rents these apartments. And it's wallpaper on the walls so you can't get rid of the mold smell then you start getting sick and don't know why. And you can't wash the walls because the wall paper will fall off so you are stuck breathing mold until your lease is up. You will be very sick all the time. I have called the property owner 2 times and she still hasn't called me back a week ago. The name of the realty is Horton Realty Commercial Company her name is Riley. They made sure everything was repaired when I moved in. Anytime I call for minor maintenance issues they respond within a day or so & get it fixed. They just came around at the time of lease renewal a couple of days ago, and inspected the ceilings for any leak cause or what not. I am woman who lives alone and I have never felt unsafe in this complex. They did take play structures down, and there is no pool or workout room. But what do you expect for the amount being paid in rent? People would complain if they redid the complex, put all these amenities in, and had to raise the price. I just wish they would have another way of submitting rent besides a money order in the mail. A dropbox at the front office would be great!! For insurance purposes, they do not allow us fire pits or grills so that kind of sucks. And the one maintenance person they have, doesn't always get it right the first time. But I let them know, and they come right back to address the issue.

We only get days or a weeks warning of things they are doing and no community vote... They never ask us for input. I guess they are doing improvements to the apartments for new residence, but making old residence pay more for the same old. They do exterior work often to help curb appeal, it looks nice but it often is such a hassel for us (can't park in our parking lot, listen to construction all day, deal with fertilizer being put all over the lawn which is the only area for the children to play, leave our door open for an hour while they paint it and we can't opt out of any of it. We have seriously broken balconies here and nasty paint chips and wood and leaves falling off it and yet that goes unsolved... I assume since you can't see it from a far. Gross for anyone living on the bottom floor plus unsafe. Our neighbor literally has a HOLE in their balcony.) Also they have a VERY LONG lease... But no where does it mention a zero tolerance policy for racism... So multiple people had to hear racist vulgar language from a tenant until she moved out by her own choice (police were literally here multiple times) There is no playground so the kids have no where safe to play. Often find kids playing in the tiny bit of grass or road with a soccer ball which is unsafe and risks breaking a window. We also need camera put up... Before they bought our apartments a car had been stolen and multiple others broken into... That would be a nice way to put the increase in our rent to use. Also although there is covered parking... You have to pay extra for it. Like $15 a month to use a carport. Dogs are not allowed either :( smoking is allowed in public areas, so neighbors can smoke in the hallway or porches exposing you and your home it it. We have to shut our windows often due to cig smoke. The parking spaces are the tight standard spots too. Also sadly they will allow landscaping to use toxins on the grass without concern for the residents long term health (multiple studies prove the long term dangers and increased health conditions like cancer.) Pros: we do have very kind caring maintenance and office staff (one member of the new friedman group and the employees who were here under the former owners)
