I knew my 10 year old would really like it, but I was surprised how much our eight year old liked it. I asked him he would like to go again, he said absolutely. They made soap, made and painted sculptures, worked with clay, water colors, drawings and collages, paper flowers, woven llamas and even had a llama visit and had ice cream at the neighboring parlor. I asked what our son would like others to know, and he said: you may not make what I made, but you'll get to do something awesome. Mrs Ross knows how to run a classroom too. I should have taken better advantage of the bar...oh and drinks came with a snack, they had Cheetos which I LOVE. I came here for a dear friends birthday painting party. We had a group of about 12. The place was pretty big. There's a large area when you walk in with lots of seating, then there are private group rooms, which is what we had. You can call ahead to book a private room. There were a few of us that were 30 minutes early, so we spent quite a bit of time roaming the place checking out the floor to ceiling art. We judged them all and noted that we could probably do better on a few. My friend picked out a super cute owl painting. We had Angela as our instructor, she was amazing! She even sang a little birthday song. She let us know we could be as creative as we wanted and she would help us with techniques along the way. I don't know who else is there for instructors, but I'd definitely come back to one of her classes. Our group was extremely quiet. Like if the radio wasn't on you'd hear the brush strokes that's how serious it was. The three hours it took me to paint my canvas flew by, I was never bored. I didn't do as well as I would have liked, I got jealous of my boyfriends painting. He put mustaches on his owls, damn it, why didn't I think of that!! My only gripe was the bathrooms were gross. However, if you're looking for something new and fun to do, try Cheers Pablo! It's inexpensive entertainment, the staff is friendly, and you get a neat painting to take home.
