Die Stiftskirche wurde im 18.Jahrhundert aus einer spät - gotischen in eine barocke Kirche…read moreumgebaut. Die Madonna, die gotische Madonna wollte man behalten. Sie passte aber nicht in die barocke Ausstattung. Es ist unbekannt wer auf die Idee kam die gotische Madonna zu bekleiden in barocke echte Kleider. So ist es geschehen und die originale Madonna thront in barocken Kleidern auf dem Marienaltar. Verwunderlich ist es, für mich jedenfalls, dass in den offiziellen Web-Seiten das Bild der Hohen Frau von Neuzelle, wie sie auch noch genannt wird, weder erwähnt noch ihr Bild gezeigt wird.
Es ist schade, dass die Verkleidung der gotischen Madonna nicht als Kunstwerk anerkannt wird. Ich meine hier wurde ohne Stilverlust ein Kunstwerk von einer Epoche ohne größere Kosten nicht nur bewahrt, auch zu neuem Glanz verholfen.
The collegiate church was rebuilt from a late Gothic to a baroque church in the 18th century. One wanted to keep the Madonna, the Gothic Madonna. However, she did not suit into the baroque equipment. Who came onto the idea dressing the Gothic Madonna is unknown into baroque real clothes. So it has happened and the original Madonna sits enthroned in baroque clothes on the Virgin Mary altar . It is, for me anyway surprising that in the official web pages the picture of the "high woman of new cell", as she also is mentioned they are neither mentioning nor her picture showing. It is a pity that the "disguising" of the Gothic Madonna is not appreciated as a work of art. Mine became a work of art of an epoch me, also helped a new gleam to get without style loss without larger costs not only kept here.
