Also a Chinese room that was so impressive, make you feel like you learn about Chinese culture in one visit. You could spend a while there to slowly browsing the place and I'm sure you still missing something. On the second floor are china and tableware collections, some jewels and family heirlooms. There is a nice palace garden/public park to enjoy as well. The palace was struck by bombs in WW2 and underwent a lengthy restoration. The repairs to the building itself are impeccable. In its heyday Queen Charlotte's palace must have rivaled Versalles in France. It's well worth a visit.

We were staying in the Altmark, there was a direct tram to Pillnitz. It took us around 30-40 mins. After got off the tram we still needed to got and the boat to the other side of of the place. Luckily we got the day ticket. So didn't have to spent extra money just for the small trip. the boat trip took about just 2 mins to the side. After we got off from the boat, it took another 5 mins on foot. Then we arrived the schloss Pillnitz. We walked around the castle, I already amazed by the architecture from outside. It didn't took long, we found the entrance. The entrance fee was cheaper than I expected. Also got of map from there. Inside this place, it was really beautiful. I was totally impressed by it. The castle looked really different compared with the others I have visited so far. As I looked at the style of architecture here, some Asian style out it this. On the wall, I could see this place has a close relation with aisa back then. For the inside museum, need to pay extra for entance. Of couse if your ticket already included then you don't have to. We also visited the greenhouse inside. Quite nice and peaceful. When we were there, the were a pianist playing some classic at the background. It was really a plus point for our journey. We had great time there just explored around this place. It's really beautiful and cultural. At the end we spent almost two hours there. I think, this is one of the place must visit in Dresden. Brilliant!

Happy I listened to the locals as they told me it's loved this market better for the backdrop of the majestic castle, handmade crafts, children friendly and say it's a little more classy with 250 venders with foods not available in other markets. 20 minutes out of city center. I found the workers a bit more kinder, a little easier to walk around as it was slightly less crowded (slightly) and so so beautiful. I ate my way around the markets trying all the Christmas treats I saw. My favorites were: *Raclette served on Sourdough with sweet berry compote **Glühwein, Heiber Rose, and Eierpunsch (eggnog cocktail) served in the cutest souvenir mugs *Baumstriezel, a sweet yeast raised dough which is spun then wrapped around a cone-shaped baking skewer then rolled in cinnamon sugar *Gingerbread, in all forms I took home a rainbow uniform decorated gingerbread cookie, two cute market mugs, dried apples and gluten free almond cookies.
