I'm not sure how that works since I was closely following them at 11:00 PM so that *they* would hit the deer in the road and not me. But that's neither here nor there. The first time I've been pulled over in 10 years and I had a clue. Windows down and I already had my wallet out. As the officer came up I had my hands on the steering wheel. As I handed over my drivers license, I also informed him that i was handing over my concealed carry permit and that I was currently carrying. He appreciated the information (West Virginia does not have a duty to inform, but it's generally a good idea to let them know) and perhaps that - and my clean driving record - earned me a warning instead of a speeding ticket. All very professional and I feel extremely warned. Dammit, I was definitely speeding but I did not see the speed limit sign until the next day when I circled back to check it out. The warning form only had "Valley Road" and the city with no address. As Valley Road continues for a while and has a spectrum of speed limits, I think I could maybe have tried to fight a ticket, but this was a warning and so be it. Well done, WVSP. A Montgomery County Police Officer working private security at the Bender Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington ejected me from a polling place in violation of the First Amendment. I was beyond the "No Electioneering" sign. contrary to what is seen in the video, the big sign that was right there was not the new election sign. The no election sign was several feet away from that and it was in bushes. I have been an election judge. I have been a poll worker. We tell people to get back behind the no electioneering sign all the time. That is for election judges. It is not for the bender Jewish community center of greater Washington to use an off duty police officer to eject a poll worker. The law says that they're supposed to make their parking lot available to members of the public for election hearing if they are a poling place.
