Let me start off by saying that if you're a railfan, this is for you. If you have small children,…read morethen also this is for you! This two story museum does have a whole lot as far as displays, there's one very large trainboard, comparable with the one in roadside america, in Shartlesville, Pa. Several smaller ones as well. Admission is a modest $5.00 for adults, with children ages 4 - 12 costing .50. There are tracks on the side of the museum, with a few train cars, however they were locked. In my opinion this is a good spot for smaller kids, aged 2 -5. Has a small gift shop. Ample parking, accepts visa and master card.

We had to explain that we wanted to see the house. It was a little off putting as it seemed like he didn't want us there. Then, come to find out, it's basically a history of the county and not just about her. There was little information about Belle Boyd and her family. To be honest it was a little disappointing.

The tour is aimed at what children want, is rapid fire, shows kids what there is to do and that it is not only alright, but expected that they will push the buttons, sound the horns, ring the bells, touch and try, and generally have a good time. No hard sell here, just encouragement of fun. The show itself -- and I've seen several -- is delightful and captivating. No hushing the kids as laughter and responses called out are encouraged. Not rowdy or noisy, just fun and interactive. After the show you get to meet the puppets and see how they work. Discussion and questions are welcomed. I've taken my grandchildren and other kids ranging from toddlers to 10 year olds, including a three year old on the autism spectrum, and they all had a blast. Be sure to budget time after the show because the kids will definitely want to explore some more and try out everything from funny sunglasses to wear to photo boards. The owner is an art teacher at an area elementary school and has a real affinity for children. Will take the time to engage with them, draw their favorite creature on the balloon they receive at the end of the show, and generally make them feel comfortable and happy. What are you waiting for? Go to the next performance, you won't regret it and you will return.

The stone steps led to an art gallery featuring Bill, Lori, and Jeanette Gregory. Bill and Lori takes wonderful scenic photography and make wonderful stone sculptures for placing in and outside of the house - Jeannette is the master stuffed teddy bear creator. If you are into scenic photography, this place is for you. The stone sculptures were amazing, and my favorites were the heart-shaped ones, the cutting of the 'rock' bread, the bunnies, as well as the figurines on logs. We plan on purchasing these to decorate our lawn. There were also log stools that I found to be oh-so-neat! You can also see more of the sculpture masterpieces outside of the gallery, the trail winding around the front of the place. Jeanette's stuffed bears were pretty impressive - she showed me an album of all of her creations and of her work; I found it so cool that people can provide her the fabric (someone's t-shirt, jeans, favorite quilts/blankets, fur coats, etc.) - she can use these in order to create a memory in a bear form - she uses high-grade polyester for the filling as well as high-quality acrylic eyes. You can also request clothes for the bears and any other customizing you want. The bears range in sizes, so you can pretty much request whatever. I thought that this was so neat, so it would be a wonderful and a personal present for the young and old alike. They also have a cute dog named Tink who was extremely precious and sweet. This gallery is definitely a treat to stop by to chit chat with the ever so sweet Bill, Lori, and Jeanette; be sure to check out their work - I am all about supporting local artists! You will not be disappointed, and your house will definitely have that something special with their impressive creative rock sculptures! +stone sculptures! +Jeanette's customized bears +ask for Bill, Lori, and Jeanette
