Typical laundromat with fewer machines than back home, but instructions are in Italian and English and they use Speed Queen machines. There are 9 front load washing machines and 6 dryers. That presents a challenge when locals bring their washed clothes from home here to dry. I lucked out and was able to snag a dryer and get a load done in an hour. The dryers are powerful and efficient. Probably won't need the full 30 minutes. read more

It's nice that they offer large & small load washers, and are open decent hours! The dryers are pretty large as well.. I will say we ended up finding a different laundry mat closer to our hotel for a MUCH better price, but not as great hours! Here they charge €4 per small wash and €8 per large wash, as for the large dryer it is €4.. the other place is only €1 for each wash, however it was too late because we already got tokens for this laundry mat. I'll also say, BUY YOUR OWN DETERGENT (like from the Conad City grocery store).. the machine there just takes your tokens! You basically pay double for only 2 washes (1 fabric softener & 1 detergent) when at the grocery store you can get a TON of pods for the same cost! We did this on the last day we were in Florence & gave them to someone to pay it forward instead of getting ripped off like we did. Lastly, DON'T put your delicates or fancy clothing in the washers.. I didn't dry them or anything, but it still damaged 2 of my nice shirts & 1 not so fancy shirt! But that may just be from the industrial washers that have been overused. Oh also, they claim there is free Wifi.. there is not! You have to step outside into the street to even get service. read more

Lovely self service laundromat - instructions are in both english and italian so easy for most to follow. It works on a token system with 1 token being 4 euros (cash only). One 9kg wash is 1 token. Be careful if you only one to do one small wash as putting 10 euros in automatically gives you 2 tokens, so bring a 5 euro note (the machine gives change). You can purchase laundry detergent, fabric softener and bags from machines in the laundromat for 1 euro each. The small wash took 30 minutes and you cannot unlock the machines while the wash is on so you can go for a walk and return before the half an hour is over. Great place if you need to get some washing done whilst in florence :) read more

Please don't go to this place without your own euro change!!! They are so unhelpful to their customers. Their machines say they accept 5, 10 and 20 euro bills, but they don't. Anything over a £5 will be eaten by the machine. I put in a £5 bill and got 1 token (costs £4) and £1 back, which was normal. Then I had to put in more for detergent & softener so I put in a £10 bill, but again it gave me 1 token and 1 euro back... no other change. Stole £5 right out of my pocket. Called the business over and over and the guy started sending me to voicemail after a couple attempted calls. Seriously? It's business hours, the laundromat is open, it's the business phone number AND no one is there to help customers if they need help? And you're declining repeated calls? Ridiculous. I'm doing the way-too-expensive laundry service at my hotel to my dismay. I'm really appalled at this business owner's lack of care and respect, when he's the one with the machine that says it takes bills that it actually just steals. Oh, and at the bottom of the coin machine I used, there was notice that was BLOCKED BY A METAL BAR SO YOU'RE UNABLE TO SEE IT something like "Maximum change £2". Well on one hand that would have been nice to see. On the other hand, I didn't even get £2 back for the 10 euro bill!! Crappy machines, crappy owner, crappy customer service. Genuinely wish I could give 0 stars. When I finally got him on the phone, we had a language barrier so he hung up and sent me to voicemail again and then texted me saying "Mandami un messaggio." So I explained the situation and he just stops responding!!! No apology, no explanation, not even a response denying my refund request! After five to ten minutes waiting for a text, I obviously try to call again because I'm through with sitting around when I just want to leave at this point and get laundry done at the hotel. The guy started YELLING at me on the phone, so I hang up and text him photos of the machine's "warning label" (that isn't even accurate) that's blocked by the metal bar. He had his colleague come and since I decided to use the hotel service, I didn't want their tokens anymore. He still skimped me £7. In total, I paid 15 euros. He gave me 8 back. I'm so understanding and kind with service employees and I'm not a fucking Karen, but this was insanely upsetting how he acted and didn't take any responsibility for the fact that his machines' "guidelines" are literally lies. Save your time and money and go to a different laundromat. Or bring your own change so they can't steal your bills. read more

I like to travel light, but that means I have to do laundry once a week. I'm surprised there weren't any reviews on self-service laundry facilities. Or, if there were, I couldn't find them easily. Anyway, I finally found this place. It's great! See the photos for details. You buy tokens from the machine. 1 token = 3.50 euros (at time of writing) 1 token for a standard washer 2 tokens for an extra large washer 1 token for 1 dry cycle (that can fit 2 standard or 1 XL load). Wash and dry cycle are about 30 minutes each. no wifi. I hung out playing with my phone as I wasn't going to leave my laundry in case of theft. Machines are industrial and work great. There was one washer that was out of order but it was clearly marked as such. Make sure to close the handle on the washer to turn it on. It won't start otherwise and you'll be wondering where the start button is -- there's none! To choose water temperature, press the button hard until you hear a click. It's not a touch-sensitive button. You'll have to bring your own detergent, bleech, dryer sheets. But they are also on sale for 1 euro each (see photos). Enjoy! read more

The hotel wanted 7 euro per shirt, which would have made my laundry bill about 150 dollars. This place cost 4 euro for a small load and 8 euro for a large one. I had a large and a small loads of laundry. This place has detergent, bleach, and fabric softener for purchase. There are 7 small washers and 2 large ones. There are 8 dryers. A 4 euro token is worth a 25 minute cycle. Overall, I spent about an hour and half and saved about 100 bucks and afforded me the comfort of some clean clothes. I hate that I had to spend the time in a laundry mat while on vacation, but it was good catching up on emails, FB, and the news. By the way, there is no wifi at the shop. I am using the City's free wifi. read more

The key to travel in Italy is to pack light!! That means if you're traveling for more than a week (or less), you will need to clean your clothes, especially if you're there in June, July, or August as it gets really hot and you will sweat a lot!! Hotel laundry prices are outrageous (you can do 2 loads of laundry in the laundromat for the price of one shirt in a hotel). We found this place within walking distance of our hotel. It was clean, efficient, and quick. We did 2 loads of laundry in less than an hour. You will need to buy tokens there. The token machine worked fine. 1 token for 4 euros. Large washing machine was 2 euros, small was 1euro, dryer was 1 euro. Easy instructions for use. Detergent, bleach and softener available for purchase there (1 euro each). You will enjoy clean, dry clothes to continue your trip. read more

Do not use this laundromat. The coin machine steals money I put in a 20 and it didn't give me any change. Call the number on the machine for several days and nobody picks up the phone I left several messages threatening to go to The police and nobody called me back. There was also an employee inside and he flat out told me that they give no refunds even though I didn't use the service. Basically machine steals your money and you have no recourse beware. The credit card slot is open but not working so if you put your credit card in and you get stuck good luck getting out and there is no sign that says credit cards don't work. They lure you in with credit card operated machines thinking credit cards work and they don't. I'm on my way now to the Carabinieri (local police department) to make a "denuncia" and see if i can get my money back or at least warn the authorities of this scam. read more

The machines that worked did a fine job, however I lost 8 euros in a large capacity washer that was not marked out of order and one euro in a dryer that ate my token. So rather than paying 12 euros to wash three loads and 3 euros to dry 3 loads (15 euros total), it cost me 24 euros. There is a number you can call -- but no attendant at the location. Also noted that one of the dryers had a huge wad of gum in it -- luckily I noticed before placing clothing inside. read more
