For 12 Euros I washed two loads (30 minutes) and dried those loads in two separate dryers (10 minutes + another 10 minutes for the jeans and towels together). Finishing all my laundry in under an hour in Belgium is a small miracle. And this is possible because the washing machines are new and high efficiency, and the dryers are the awesome hot air kind that ACTUALLY DRY YOUR CLOTHES instead of the standard Belgian crock pots used for dryers that just cook your clothes for two hours. Furthermore, the shop has great hours for Belgium (everyday from 7a to 10:30p), is very close to the U Gent dorms, and is conveniently located next to two (horrible) grocery stores and several other shops (that are usually closed, of course). I didn't realize that they only took cash, quite an inconvenience since it's so expensive. Several other customers and I had to go to the ATM and come back. They told me my clothes would be ready Monday afternoon. I went back around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, and they said they needed an extra day to redo a few items and that I should come back the following day. This was annoying, since the location isn't particularly convenient for me. And when I thought about it later, it would have been nice if they had offered to give me the items that were done. When I went back on Tuesday afternoon, everything was done, and seemingly done well. They use a massive amount of staples to identify the clothes, and annoyingly, they don't take them out, so your tags will be covered in staples that you have to remove yourself. I find this annoying, since part of why I'm paying someone else to clean my clothes is to minimize the amount of work for myself. However, I will keep going back if I don't hear about a better place.

This seriously saves my life (and my time), hence the great rating. We had the obligatory look on yelp for our coffee hit and assumed that this was just a hipster place with an interesting name. Well it is IS a hipster place with an interesting name but unlike most it actually lives up to the promise. We were very surprised to find a full laundrette inside in pristine colours with the main floor decked out as a trendy coffee bar. The place had people working or relaxing whilst some waited for their washing to be done. The coffee itself was average but at 1 Euro one cannot complain. They had free wifi and nice places to sit whilst keeping the ambience of a cool coffee den. I have no idea why other places are not doing this, it really makes going to the laundress pleasurable and productive. They even picked up our passing trade. Great idea wonderful execution.

The first unfortunate event after dropping it off was a colleague telling me they had previously damaged a €200 dress of hers (I wish she'd told me earlier when I said I was going there) but it was too late now to get my coat back. When I collected my coat the next day I was handed it on a hanger with a plastic covering as expected. It appeared fine from minimal review and the employee (manager) handing it to me didn't mention anything. When I got back to the office and took it out of the plastic wrapping I saw that there was a bleach stain all across the collar and on other parts of the coat. I went online and filled in the 5 a sec online form. Then next day they contacted me to say I should take my coat to the original location to show them the damage and get a claim form. When I had time 2 days later I went. The first 3 employees didn't speak English so I had to wait for the manager who after hearing me say damage suddenly pretended she didn't speak any English (suddenly she forgot a language in 2 days :/ ). A customer waiting behind me translated but I did pick up the managers hostility as she denied responsibility. She pointed to a comment on the ticket that said discoloration (refereed to the fading of the green) as evidence the bleach stain was preexisting. I only wish I had the sense to read reviews prior to entrusting my clothing to cowboys or that my colleague had the foresight to warn me when I had told them where I was going to dry clean my cloths. If you can wash your cloths at home do it as you bear a lower risk of damaging your cloths then entrusting it at this place and hopefully your own customer service to yourself is far superior to the manager of this place, AVOID!!!
