Mr. Hargis is a fraud! I went to him with lower back issues. He wrote an X-Ray order for St. Anthony's Hospital, knowing that Medicare does NOT recognize these orders from chiropractors. Hence, I was presented with a hospital bill for $2,128. Hargis charged me $710.69, which included a $50 charge for "Reading" the X-Ray, which he was not qualified to order as per Medicare. Hargis had the audacity to determine that I had a leg discrepancy from the report. I was baffled by his pure guess given the fact he that he did not perform any scientific or medical method to determine the actual length of both legs. Miraculously, he 'guessed' I had a 3/4-inch difference in one leg. The radiologist never cited any difference. Hargis convinced me to do have inserts in specially modified footwear. I had an orthopedic surgeon read the same X-Ray report and his prognosis and analysis of the reading was night and day. He told me it was impossible to determine the length of the legs based on the X-Ray. I had to deal with a collection agency to contest the charges. Hargis is a fraudster and a quack. I've been living with back weakness, lower back pain, and disc problems for nearly 4 years. I've visited numerous doctors and specialist only to get recommended medication, injections, and physical therapy. Over time the issues returned, nothing seemed to work. Upon my very first visit with Dr. Hargis he noticed that my right leg appeared to be shorter than my left. After going over my MRI and other medical history data thoroughly, he ordered X-Rays for me. When I returned for my next visit and we went over the X-rays its became clear what the cause of my problems are. I just completed about two years of Neurofeedback at Dr. Hargis's office. I was previously in treatment via medication for depression, and for years and through a lot of different medications it wasn't really making a difference. I was reluctant to try something else since it felt like things could never improve, and when I started things were so bad my therapist had to set up the first appointment for me. The treatment is pretty easy, but any changes are very gradual. If you've got a condition that neurofeedback may be an option for, I think it's worth exploring. Everyone at the office is friendly, and of course since they're a chiropractic practice when I screwed up my neck I was also able to get some help with that as well. read more

I made an appointment with Dr. Hargis after working with my Orthopedic team for several months with little satisfaction. After my initial consultation I knew I was in the right place. He asked so many questions to learn about me from how I slept to what exercise I had been doing to my overall activity level. He was able to identify a muscle problem that had been overlooked by my doctors. He started me on a laser and cold therapy program that addtressed the issue. When that was under control he started to work on my back pain by utilizing a stretching therapy. I'm happy to say that it has brought me great relief. I'm not saying everything is perfect but it is so much better and I am very grateful. Dr, Hargis is a great chiropractor with a gentle manner and a sense of humor.
