My mother had work done with Dr Hershman and scheduled me for a cleaning with her. I was around 16 at the time (this is 10+- years ago). As a young kid, my teeth werent spotless, but the aggressive cleaning by Dr Hershman was done with such a lack of care and aggressiveness that I remember it to this day. She would dig into my gums so roughly the pain was like 100/10. I told her I was in pain yet she seemed to not care and continue torturing me. No easing up, no local numbing, just HAMMERING away. I ended up ripping the pads from the arm rest's and leaving fingernail marks on it from gripping it so hard. Nightmarish experience, Ive had many cleanings before and after and NEVER had pain like that.

Everyone from managers, to hygienists set an extremely high bar. Warm, welcoming, kind. The practices (I have been to all 3 locations) are clean and have state of the art equipment. I asked the office manager how on earth they did not contact me about the bill prior to arriving...She then proceeded to lie to my face saying she had called me the prior day. I then showed her my call log to prove her lie. After being extorted for $900, none of the treatment worked. Another bonus was having a new dental assistant being trained on my case. Me and my insurance are now thousands of dollars in the hole due to the inability to get the job done properly. Oh...forgot to mention that he ruined my crown by drilling a hole in it. I had chipped my front tooth due to poor bonding from my former dentist. It had chipped about three times in about four months with no real solution other than to either slap on new bonding or shave my teeth down. I called Dental Devotion and they were so kind and considerate of my situation. They were able to squeeze me in the next morning. From the women in the front office, to the dental assistant, and to the dentist, my experience was top notch. They explained what was happening, how they were going to fix it, and asked for my approval every step of the way. Like many reviews have mentioned, they treated me like a human and didn't try to force anything on me aside from what I wanted fixed. The only negative is that their parking is a garage and they only validate for an hour so if you have a longer procedure, you will be paying $$. I stayed about 70 minutes and the parking was $4 with validation. I still would recommend this practice to anyone as they are honest and provide quality work/service.

I'd rather get something operated on!…read more Well, i've been coming here for the last 5-6 years, I usually see Dr. Brendmoen, she is great and I will continue to see her. I've never once had a problem with her and she does make you feal at ease. I usually try to see her at the Lorton location, they have a newer office there with newer equipment. Well, I recently started having some bad pain in my jaw, I was able to call and be seen the same day. Apparently I needed a root canal then a crown. I would need to make a future appt. for both. I setup the root canal for a couple of weeks out, well the tylenol stopped working and I was in very bad pain during the nights. I did end up calling and they were able to get me in about 1.5 days later. Dr. Tupman did the root canal, this was my first root canal (and hopefully last), i was told my Dr. Tupman that I could still have pain for the next couple of days, well once i got home and the numbing meds wore off i felt 100% better. I did not need to take anymore pain meds. If you ask me, i think it is the dentist that made the difference, i think it's very easy to screw up drilling out your nerves! The staff is also very friendly.

I was seen on the dot of my appointment, no waiting. The office is clean and organized, and the administrative assistants at the front desk are very helpful, and frankly, way too bright first thing in the morning, but in a good way. The hygenist (Beth again, yay!) was very funny and friendly, which I found relaxing, despite my extreme dentalworkaphobia. All my questions were answered, and I always leave with the sure feeling that my dental health is in very good hands.
