I would give zero stars if that was an option.
We brought our family cat, Sparkle in who was acting a little out of the ordinary. Nothing too concerning as she was still eating and drinking, but we wanted to be sure everything was ok. Rissa did the tests, said she had the onset of a murmur and looked like she had some fecal buildup. Rissa administered a saline IV and was squeezing the bag so hard, instead of letting it drip naturally. I questioned it and she said it's because otherwise we would be there all day. And that she would be ok and there would just be a fluid lump that would leak. I didn't think anything of it because I'm not a vet so I trusted them. We paid and left. I live only 5 mins from the clinic. We got our cat home and she jumped out of her carrier and walked over to her water dish, let out a howl and collapsed. She wasn't breathing. I called them and said what happened and they front desk person almost laughed when I said she's not breathing and she said that wouldn't happen from the IV. Well, it I did. We rushed her back but it was already too late. Subsequently, upon further research you are not supposed to force IV fluids that quickly, especially in animals (or people) who have any kind of heart issue.
My daughter saw it all and that cat was her best friend. She hysterically cried and the doctor, Rissa wouldn't even face her. She only tried to feed me a bullshit line saying "Well, I did tell you she had a heart murmur." And said "It's not anyone's fault."
That right there was an admittance of guilt by not properly doing your job.
Another tech came in and comforted my daughter instead, made a paw print, shaved some of Sparkle's hair and whiskers off as a momento for her. The front desk lady wouldn't even look at us either. I wholeheartedly believe they knew what they did.
My daughter is now traumatized after witnessing her best companion pass away that way and that is not something that can be fixed.
We have another cat who we used to take there but after this, we will not.
I do not trust them. Nor, would I advise anyone else to. Pets are family. And just because the doctor was in a hurry to get us in and out on her time schedule, they cost us something that can never be replaced.
