Years ago I was shopping around for lower auto insurance rates when a coworker referred me to Mark…read more Mark was very quick to give me a quote, and was able to reduce my costs significantly by bundling home and auto. Fast forward two and a half years and I was relying on Mark daily to assist me with the biggest, and only claims I've made in my insurance life. My wife and I had a total loss house fire that also melted both of our vehicles that were in the garage. Once the fire department had settled things, I gave Mark a call. He very calmly handled the situation and even went as far as to conferencing in the claims department while he stayed on the line to ensure that the claim was being handled properly and quickly. Just a few quick hours later Mark had us all set up with our rental car, and hotel accommodations for a short term solution. When it was time for the adjuster to come and inspect the damage, Mark was willing to meet me at the property at the same time to ensure it was taken care of properly. For the longer, short term solution, Mark was able to help find us a pet friendly house available for rent. It was great to finally get our dogs back after such a tragedy. The State Farm team partners with other companies to ensure you have everything you need necessary to live in a temporary living situation. Cookware, dinnerware, bedding, etc. The system in place works exactly how it should. In the end my wife and I were able to rebuild a new home on our same piece of property we have grown to love. We were also able to replace our appliances, furnishings, clothing, etc. for the home. This is all because Mark was knowledgeable about the type of policy we would need should disaster arise, and he was willing to go above and beyond to make sure everyone on the team was handling things correctly. Mark was always available via call, text, or email. The other staff in his office are just as great and helpful. I never thought that shopping around for a lower rate would impact my life as much as the decision to switch to Mark at State Farm. Cannot recommend Mark and his team enough!

I can't explain how frustrated I am with the poor service I have received from Ben Brown Insurance…read moreAgency. I have insured my home, flood and car there for 3 years, and upon renewal this year, simply received an email reminder from someone I never heard of. No mention of the new cost, whether they had looked around to find something better, etc. Just basically: "Here, pay this." I attempted to renew online and emailed her that I was unable to. I included my phone number so she could call me. No call. No service. No offer to expedite payment. Just another email with an 800 # for the company. In the entire episode, I never heard from my agent. Not what I would expect from a service-oriented company.

Terrible experience with this company. Told me my home would be done in six months.. Went well into…read moreeight. I had to commute for 2 months from Cape Coral to bradenton every day, Because they never even located the sewer line until AFTER the home was completed.. Took them almost a year to come out and fix a leak under the home that was located by the cable man, As their workers could not find it. Took numerous attempts, Six months after move in, to install gutters, during rain season, my driveway was washing out from under, so they delivered a load of dirt that i had to, MYSELF, put all around the house and driveway to stop the erosion from rainfall. My bedroom windows are on the wrong wall, with no compensation. I've been in my home barely a year. The flooring is all coming apart everywhere. The siding is coming off..ive called home warranty dept numerous times , No one returns your phone calls. The workmanship is very shoddy. ( clearly rushed). Had to repair cabinetry on my own, still missing trim on kitchen cabinets. Couldnt use kitchen sink for over a week, and I had to wash dishes in the tub..not sure how it even passed c/o inspection. Then had the audacity to blame ME for rushing them, as they were almost 2 months behind scheduled finish.Yard was a mess.. garbage and 100s of screws everywhere..Zero follow up..didnt even properly clean my house before move in..i still have crayon marks on all of my top windows as i cannot get up on 10 ft ladder to clean. Took them forever to even show up to fix the few things that needed immediate attn. Very shoddy workmanship all around. Clearly rushed.. An all around, just awful experience. As a single woman, i definitely do not recommend working with the manager. I was forgotten once they got my money. I never thought I would be treated with such indifference after paying almost 240k for my home. Not to mention the 13k JUMP in price RIGHT BEFORE CLOSING!! Materials...yeah, Ok Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.
