When I trick my friends into coming back to South Dakota with me, Zem's is a must stop. My friends walk in and say, "what the hell is this shit." And then, one bite of a Long John and they are hooked. Next thing I know they are munching down donut holes and blueberry fritters. And for 75 cents a pop you can afford to become obese and enjoy every bite of it. It should be mentioned that Zem's is in a grocery store. And old farmers love this place as much as I do, perhaps more. The tables are reserved every hour of the day for different groups of farmers to come in, eat rolls, drink coffee, and roll dice. What's not to love?
