Ward Cedar Log Homes has left us with tremendous regret. We are battling severe heat loss and water intrusion. We have rooms in our house that we cannot use due to water problems. They are a company that makes promises and fails to follow through. Ward associates with unqualified people that will leave you with a poor-quality product. I purchased a Ward Cedar Log Home from a previous owner a couple of years ago. I am an architect and I am very impressed by the quality of construction. The house is quite cozy and comfortable. We are building a 2 story garage addition to the cabin. I wanted the addition to match the log cabin look of the existing cabin so I ordered the cedar materials from WCLH. I needed all the siding, window trim, porch posts, beams and railings. They prepared all the calculations, prepared a quote and arranged delivery. My family owns a Ward Home (Groveton style) built in 1984. We've owned the house since 1995 and have loved every minute. The construction is awesome -- strong and sturdy, with solid wood doors (I love that) and master craftsmanship throughout. Over the years we have called and consulted with the company -- especially Ron Silliboy -- about updates and additions we'd like to make.
