I don't do dairy so I did not think Wanderlust Creamery was an option. I can happily say, I was wrong. My friend, a BIG Wanderlust fan, and I visited this Wanderlust on a Saturday evening. It's located in a little strip mall with a big parking lot. Parking was easy as all of the other businesses were closed and Wanderlust was not busy. The brightly lit shop had the vibe of an old-school creamery with a modern twist. Metal picnic tables outside were available for seating. They had about 24 different and very creative flavors, five of which were vegan. We were able to sample a few of them and ultimately decided on Makrut Lime Creamsicle and Balsalmic Strawberry Gin. Delicious! Service was great. The person helping us was patient and friendly. Pricing seemed to be a bit higher than other ice cream stores but this is a creamery where ice cream is made fresh on site. This is a fun must visit!

Milky Tangyuan during January is hands down the best flavor

We love checking the monthly rotating flavors. Wanderlust does their ice creams with uniqueness and taste as close to how they are prescribed, without it being too sweet. Kinda pricey (tasting trio $7.75 and split single $7) but for occasional visits, it's worth. Luckily there are more locations now than when they first opened. Small parking lot, but empty closer to closing. Always a good pace of people going in and out tho. Not much seating inside. Staple favorite flavors include: Japanese Neopolitan and Black Sesame Cookies n cream(?) Shout out to previous seasonals that I've tried previously include: Che Thai (viet), Lychee, and more recently for the lunar new year the-- - Oolong Pineapple Cake (half), tho after getting it, it had an airy consistency that I wouldn't get again - Milky Tang Yaun (half): hands down theeee best, that we had to come back to get it (and it happened to be the last serving of it). It tastes even more black-sesamey than the staple flavor, and with the mochi-like chewiness of the tang yaun UGGG chefs kiss pls make it a staple flavor

Will always come to show my love for wanderlust. The most unique and amazing flavors that you will find in all of LA and for a decent price. (A little bit pricey but you get what you pay for). This time around that I went, they were out of a lot of flavors, but usually they are stocked with my favorites like Japanese Neapolitan, mango sticky rice, and Ube. I definitely recommend coming here! They also have a rewards system and a free parking lot.

Just for October, to celebrate Filipino American History Month!

Since October is Filipino American History Month, this Pinay-owned creamery is pulling out all of the stops with limited edition Filipino flavours! The brown butter sans rival with a brown butter cone was SO GOOD. Seriously, one of the best ice-cream experiences of my life. It was so delicious that I went back into the store to beg the employees to open a location in Toronto.

My first time at this location. I never saw it before today wtf lol. ALL the flavors are amazing not too sweet very enjoyable. The girl working today is so polite. 9years here and I don't know. Now I do and I'll be coming here a lot more often when the cravings kick in.

UBE MALT! Best flavor! If you love ube flavored things, this is spot on. Legit tastes like ube. Not much else to say about that matter. I remember coming here when the owners just started. They were a local new business, just introducing these new exotic flavors to the valley. Now they're all over Los Angeles and lines are out the door at every location! The hype is real the quality speaks for itself. I used to buy pints of their icecream because my roommates and family members could never stop asking about it. I even recently had friends have them cater their ice-cream at their wedding! Make sure to keep this place in mind if you're anywhere in LA craving ice cream. Search for the closest wanderlust and I'm sure it'll be right around the corner for you!

WHEN: Sun @2:30pm PANDAN TRES LECHES Sweet cream ice cream serves as a blank canvas for crumbs of housemade pandan sponge cake + ribbons of condensed milk in this southeast Asian-inspired take on tres leches. The pandan is subtle here since it's in the sponge cake, and not the ice cream it self. Still overall good, and the nice textures of the cake. I got the Single Scoop ($6.50) on their ube waffle cone ($1.50) and it's just a very gorgeous site. I'm so fascinated by all the different and unique flavors, especially when they are inspired all parts of Asia. This location was inside a shopping area so there's a decent amount of free parking but they are all pretty tight.

It's 95 degrees and up out... Do you know where your inner child is? Telling you to cool off with something tasty, refreshing and dare I say... Wonderful? It's at this local small shop Wanderlust Creamery location in the sunny San Fernando Valley city of Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. The place with a smorgasbord of delicious flavors like no other!! Do try it all or if you're like me and dairy-free, everything you can which is a very healthy amount. Vegan Malte Ube all day!! Sticky Rice + Mango, a classic go to, Earl Grey (Coconut) Milk Chocolate... We very much enjoy you to though not as much as Passionfruit Cacao and the brand new summer seasonal vegan goodness that is Aussie Pavlova "white chocolate" passionfruit that will take you miles away... and make you non passive in every way!! Sorry Drake, I like my mix for this... much like the outstanding Wanderlust Tarzana Team service!! The people who work here are enough to make you want to come back and enjoy... Did I mention you can also by buy the pint... Put those ice packs and ice in the cooler and stock up! Like most locations there is only seating directly outside, but for WC TarZ... you can do so under some shady spots on their shared patio with other fooderies. The parking lot is also shared and usually pretty easy in and out with some metered options on Ventura Blvd and side streets from the corner of Reseda Blvd / Ventura Blvd (the corner of this creamery) and beyond. Get two scoops, maybe three... maybe more... So you can stay cool in summer and wonderful with frozen fun all year long with Wanderlust - Tarzana. Q Tip: Read the signs for the doors please, also help cut down of the cross heat breeze.

10/08/23:  x Bretman Rock Collab Da Fruity Saldad & Pandan
    Anna J.

10/08/2023: Why does it feel like summer in October? Off to get some ice cream to cool down. YAY! The flavors are so much fun and endless. There were so many choices. I wanted to try them ALL. In honor of Filipino American Heritage Month, I had to try Bretman Rock Collab called Da Fruity Salad w/ a scoop of Pandan. I'm from Hawaii and you know, I had to support Hawaii locals. The Pandan was lacking the "pandan" flavor. Da Fruity Salad however was delicious. It reminded me of my childhood living in Oahu. The chunks of the fruit and tropical flavors were spot on. Thank you Wanderlust!

    Grace H.

Great Ice Cream Spot!! Interior is clean, decorated nicely, and there are so many flavors of ice cream to choose from. Employees were patient and gave us whatever samples we asked for. Each flavor was great but I opted for a vanilla!

    Michele P.

I was really excited to try this place as I had it bookmarked for a while, and I was intrigued by the unique flavors. Thank you to the sweet girls working behind the counter who had a lot of patience as our family of five tried multiple flavors before finalizing our decision . Unfortunately, nothing quite hit the mark for me, despite sampling four different flavors. They were all sooooo bland. I was disappointed. So, I didn't get any :( My kids liked their ice cream, and the Ube cones were very unique attribute. Excessively overpriced, though!

    matt g.

The venue at Topanga social is everything. It's a better concept than just a food court in a mall. At 10pm ppl were still hanging out. Young couples were watching movies on their iPads lol. The flavors were fun and unique. But the ube crunch is still my favorite. The malt like crunch is chewy and crunchy, salty and sweet. I didn't try them all but the ones I did were incredibly creamy. But here for the late night vibes, live band and good energy. The whole family loved it.

Pandan ice cream with pandan cone
    Trang N.

Wanderlust has become my favorite ice cream place (with multiple locations in the valley) thanks to the Tres leches pandan and Ube ice creams (and their respective cones flavors)!! So delicious!! They also sell pints to go. The options are so diverse and unique (for example, they have a Mango & sticky rice flavor which tastes exactly like the dessert). You should go now and thank me later :)

The shop is located in a plaza with decent parking spots. I can imagine on a busy day it can be hard to park here! Which was already a good start to our experience since Laidrey has terrible parking (no offense). I love Laidrey but wanted to give a chance to a place I haven't tried before. Upon entrance, we were greeted with a warm and pleasant "good morning!" The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The cashier/barista was the sweetest girl who gave me helpful tips on what to get. There was an older gentlemen who walked us through on the different pastries. He told us what to get warmed up and what would taste good with the coffee. I'm so glad the staff had actual good tips because man was everything DELICIOUS. The potato croquette I had was mind blowing! It was savory with hints of cumin and a little bit of spice which you can't really get something like this at regular coffee shops. My FAVORITE! The sweetened puff pastry with cheese felt decadent and good with the coffee but boy did it fill me up immediately! The savory feta pastry was something my husband ordered which he seemed to really like but wasn't a personal favorite of mine. The Spiced Mexican Mocha was smooth and creamy. My husband ordered this and it was perfectly up to his speed! I ordered "The Sam" which is a salted vanilla oat latte. I was so excited because it already had oat milk in it! This latte was absolutely incredible and she even added the aesthetic foam art heart to it. Overall, the environment was wholesome and it's a very spacious shop. Not too loud or crowded for me. I would definitely come back and maybe even do some office work here while enjoying my potato croquette!!

In a location with an ever-shifting number of street people who may occasionally cause grief, all condiments are kept behind the counter, which needles the personal customization experience a touch (though it's understandable). Coffee here (which I always get iced) is robustly flavored without being bitter. Though I'm not the kind of aficionado others may claim to be, even I can appreciate this Java is far better than what's being served at Starbucks. However, food items are lagging far behind. The Cheddar & Jalapeño Croissant, previously pretty well-packed with cheese and peppers and sporting a goodly hit of heat, has been revamped and replaced by a dry, very mass-produced crescent with hardly any cheese or peppers, and no spice; really, barely any flavor at all, spicy or not. Other breakfast items on display failed to ignite much of a spark in me, and their version of a McMuffin looked especially unappealing in its display case packaging. So, the food is a bit of a bust, but the coffee is top notch, and the cafe areas are comfortable and well lit. Add in the free WiFi, and this is a good place to relax, chat with friends, watch a game or do some work. Maybe just sneak in a cruller from Winchell's across the street to go with your cup of Joe.

I'd come back, especially for the burritos and that vanilla latte!
