This Clinton Twp satellite location of CMU is actually located on the campus of Macomb Community…read moreCollege. If you don't know specifically where you're going, you probably won't find it. There is a small "CMU" logo on the bottom of ONE of the MCC signs at a driveway off Garfield. When you pull in, there is no further directions. As it turns out, the CMU center (along with MSU, Ferris, UDM, and Madonna centers) are located inside the building labeled "University Center." In my experience, the university centers of colleges are usually the buildings that house food courts, student service offices, etc. Not in this case. Once you find the university center, there is still no clear marking on the outside indicating CMU (or any other university) centers inside. Luckily our professor sent us a detailed email instructing us to enter here anyway. Once inside, room numbers and specific university offices are more clearly identifiable. So if you're able to actually find your way into the right building, you'll at least be good from there on out. The air conditioning is weak at best, we all had to bring in fans and plug them in around the room. The bathrooms are checked and cleaned probably on Friday and not again til the following Monday - many stalls out of paper, the trash cans were overflowing onto the floor, and water was flooding the counter around the sinks. Ugh. There is no kitchen area, so if you bring your food from home it better be something that does not need to remain cold because there is no fridge. There is, however, a dirty microwave up for use. The 2 vending machines are beverage only, so there is not even the option of grabbing a quick bag of pretzels to munch on while studying. I love CMU and have earned my undergrad on their main campus in Mt. Pleasant, as well as at another metro Detroit satellite location. But unfortunately this choice of location in MCC was not a wise one on their part.

I filled out this review soley due to the prior reviewer. I'm not going to go into in-depth detail…read moreinto the physical factors of the facility, or the fact that the SHARED University Center building isn't directly labeled CMU, but instead expand on the human capital there. The women in the office are fantastic people, will absolutely bend over backward to help any student, whether it be figuring out who they need to call for what, or freaking out in their office about a poorly taken test, these ladies are there for you. If you're planning on taking some university classes, CMU is absolutely the way to go. This campus/satellite specifically has meant so much good to me.

For graduating in 2018, I am still in college. My first 2 years out of high school I attended…read moremacomb community college. I didn't love it at first but that wasn't because of the professors, it wasn't because of the cost, it wasn't because of the people, it had nothing to do with any of that at the end of the day. It was mostly because I didn't have a plan, I didn't know what field I wanted to get into. I came here and took the "required classes" that most universities want you to take so you can get in their doors. I'm a strong supporter for community colleges. I recommend them unless you absolutely know what you want to do and you absolutely need a bachelors degree or higher for it. I find myself after transferring twice to 2 different Universities thinking about coming back to this one. My favorite memories in a classroom setting have been at Macomb and I will never regret going. The people are nice, the staff is readily available and eager to help, and they offer lots of certificates that can get you in the door to many different careers if you don't have the money or time to earn an associates. I wish I went right for one of my passions when I went here instead of all the general education requirements. The whole point to this review is to say that macomb community college is a great place to start your new path at any time. Go for your passion and find something you're good at here because there might be something especially if you weren't looking to spend $20,000+ on schooling. The ultimate satisfaction is loving your job and excelling in it for me and it doesn't have to cost so much money and it shouldn't to accomplish that. MCC is a great place to start over again or just start in general. Go for what you love and if you don't know what you love there is a program to finding that.

These professors don't even have the knowledge or the capacity to care. Staff is horrible and they made me pay taxes on the scholarship that I didn't even use 100% I hope this college gets burned down to the ground if I'm being honest. Waste of time and money.
