TLDR: After this situation, I would not trust Walpole Tire Service to install tires on steel go-kart wheels, let alone aluminum wheels. I ordered tires for my 2020 Ram 1500 Limited through Goodyear.com on Thursday, July 18, 2024, which were to be delivered to and installed by their installer, Walpole Tire Service the following Monday. Walpole Tire Service seemed ill prepared for the appointment. They were unsure if they had received the tires and appeared to have little to no knowledge of my appointment. Due to this, I was informed it would be an hour and a half to two hours long wait time. I opted to wait in their lobby for my vehicle's tires to be replaced. After receiving my vehicle, I inspected the wheels and tires and found gouges in two wheels, a slight dent in another, and rubber or grease marks on the fourth. I went back inside and requested to speak to a manager. The associate informed the general manager of the issue. Directly after that, the GM approached me, but quickly shrugged me off after realizing I was not a tow truck driver he was looking for. A different manager then approached me and asked about the situation. He went outside and inspected the wheels alongside a technician. However, he referred the matter back to the GM. After some time, the GM came outside to inspect the vehicle himself. He was quick to claim the markings were caused by curb rash. He claimed there was no possible way that the tire machine could have caused the damage to my wheels, but that he would review the footage from within their shop. He also recommended I take my vehicle to another installer to have them confirm his claims that the damage was curb rash. The next day the GM called me, saying he reviewed the footage. He again claimed that the damage was curb rash. I explained to him that two other local installers agreed with me and why. He then claimed that the other installers were not credible and told me I have no idea what I am talking about although I have professional experience replacing tires. When I delivered the vehicle to Walpole Tire Service, the wheels were not damaged. The vehicle was professionally detailed less than a week prior, after which I inspected the wheels and tires for damage. I inspected them again just days before when I completed some basic maintenance and installed mud guards. Thefore, I know quite well what condition the vehicle's wheels were in prior to the tire installation. read more

Absolutely the worst auto repair service I've ever had. $4000 spent and still having the same issues. What should have been a simple warranty repair has turned into weeks of getting the runaround. I finally went and bought the parts myself and took them to the shop myself but still can't get any service. I'll be paying for a rental for another week because of Walpole's horrible service. If they can ever fix my Jeep correctly, I will never set foot in this place again. It's a two hour job. Replace a CV axle and hub assembly. It's a warranty repair because they put the wrong cv axle in 6 months ago. I have been by there 4 times in the past week expecting my Jeep to be ready just to find out they haven't even put it on the lift yet. Did I mention that it took them nearly a week to screw up the CV axle the first time I took it in 6 months ago? read more

if I could leave 0 stars I would. absolutely shit service on my car. after receiving my car back it smelled and reeked of gasoline fuel. They demanded I give it a few days to air out. Fast forward months and it still reeks of gas. I went back to Texas and got it checked and the mechanics said Walpole Tire Service took apart my gas tank and drilled bolts (that were not suppose to go there) through my actual gas tank in an attempt to seal it back together. Then they put silicone over it to cover up what they did and added an additional layer of silicone which made it obvious they knew they were wrong. The mechanic in Texas who told me said they themselves would get an attorney involved .. and this is coming from actual mechanics. All that to say don't take your precious car to this shitty ass car service shop. read more

I went in this morning with a slow leak in one of my tires (brand new in March). Unfortunately, it was in the sidewall and they could not repair it. They put enough air in the tire so I could safely get to Discount Tires in Bossier City. When I tried to pay, they told me there was no charge. I hope I don't have any more trouble; but if I do, I'll go back to Walpole. That's customer service the old-fashioned way! read more

Recently I was having lunch on a particularly busy day at El Toro - there was a large family table in the middle of the room with the family matriarch (patriarch seated at the opposite end) presiding over the entire scene as would any ruling monarch. It was lively. A 20-something woman, seated to her left, was telling the Queen a protracted tale of woe about her flat tire. After more than a few minutes of patient listening, the Queen held up her hand to cease the young woman's chatter and then she said, "Sounds like you just need to go to Walpole's!" True story. Superior service !! While traveling home from Mississippi to Texas I had to make an emergency stop in Ruston to address a issue with a tire. After switching to the spare, Walpole tire service was the closest tire shop to me location. Kevin the service manager checked the system for my tire size. As It turned out, they didn't have my tire size in store and none at the other location in town. As a last effort, he said the he would check in the back for a good used tire that could get me back on the road. To make a long story short, Kevin and his technician found 1 used tire. Not only did they install the tire, there was a team of technicians that check tire pressures and put the spare back in place for me and my wife to continue on the road home. Thank you Kevin, the tech that found the tire and the other techs that made sure I was good to go for the rest of my journey home. WALPOLE TIRE SERVICE IS EXEMPLARY! Walpole Tire Ruston branched out repairing my rack and pinion with a Re-man one unit and an alignment. That was fine but they destroyed my Air Bag clock spring in the process. Now I could be killed in a wreck since my air bag does not work. Adding another danger-they destroyed my car-horn. If I have a close call i can not warn any other driver. My Cruise Control is destroyed. WP said they could not fix it. WP recommended a mechanic who told me they failed to lock the wheel in place causing the problem not being experienced in such matters. Had my wife go to this place to get 2 new tires while I was out of town, these guys took the 2 best original tires off the car and left the worst when I say worst I mean it Sidewall showing wire! This was the reason for getting two new tires. Of course my wife unknowingly leaves and goes to Walmart to come out and find an almost flat tire! She calls me and let's me know so I call them and I quote the guy "we just replaced the front" so you don't look and see which tires are worst and replace those why else would someone buy 2 tires? Walpole tires has taken care of my tires a few times when I find myself in Northern Louisiana. The service has always been welcoming, informative and honest. I know virtually nothing about tires, but that does not stop me from doing homework on the tires I'm about to buy. Usually a quick google search and I'll call two places back home. Prices are competitive. There are all kinds of service perks to buying tires with them. They are a Goodyear carrier, so that means something. Also, they are pretty fast. I don't clock them, but I find I have not burned half a day taking care of my car. In short, use them. Solid operation. read more

I had an owner-operator that had a blowout on his truck today not far from this location. They didn't have a used tire like we had hoped, but neither did any other location within 50 miles. Jay was very accommodating and gave me a decently priced deal on two recaps. The service was quick too, but jay was very cool and the reason that I wanted to give a review. Came in at 4 on an appointment to have an alignment. I was told they could not do it as my rack and pinion was totally shot and they did not have the tools to do the work. I was not charged. I went to two other shops in the next days. They both had the same opinion, there was no damage to any part of the suspension. A new rack and pinion was not needed. One of the shops did the alignment and the car now works well. Seems like all they wanted is to go home. Later I spoke with 2 others who told me about their bad experiences with the shop. One told me of having an alignment only to have a blow out two hours later because they did not tell him the tire was showing the steel belt. They are nice but incompetent. Very professional people. I had some issues with my break and went to see them because midas said it would cost $400.00 to fix it. When they looked at it, they could not find anything wrong, just some alignment issue that had an easy fix. Anyways, they did not charge me for it since i had bought a tire from them a month ago.
