It looked as if something I could've done on a free app. I expressed what I felt and they just told me basically they know more of what I want than what I ACTUALLY want since they have been in the business so long. They make it simple and straightforward to participate. It starts with filling out online questionnaires to determine if you qualify for a study. Once chosen, they have you show up at the designated time and place - either at their north Dallas facility, or better yet, online for remote studies. Then you give opinions on products or services. Finally, you receive the agreed upon compensation, usually in a couple of days. So far, Fieldwork has a 100% success rate in doing all of this (unlike some of their competitors). They get bonus points for offering extras like early bird drawings for additional cash, providing an assortment of snacks and drinks in their office before the start of studies, and multiple payment options for their incentives (prepaid virtual credit card, physical card or a deposit to a bank account). The last one is important since the days of walking out with an envelope full of cash seem to be long gone. And, this applies to pretty much all of these types of companies, not just Fieldwork.

Occasionally they'll have health and beauty products to take home and test, as well. To get started, you fill out screening questionnaires online to see if qualify for any upcoming studies. If you do meet the criteria, time slots are given at the end of the survey for you choose a date and time in which to participate. Then comes the fun part. You show up, eat or drink new products and give your opinion on them. Payments are sent via email within a couple days in the form of a prepaid visa card. You can use it immediately as a virtual card or request a physical version that will be mailed to you. Sound simple enough? It is! And it's awesome!!! *UPDATE* Even if you don't qualify for studies you can still get paid for filling out screening questionnaires by earning points for each one you complete. As of now, it's 10 points per questionnaire. 100 points equals $1 with a minimum of 1000 in order to cash them out for a visa gift card. In all the years that I've been a panelist for Curion they have never missed a single payment, whether it's for participating in a study or redeeming points. Even late payments are extremely rare. My friends and family members, who are also panelists, haven't had any issues either. So, it's a real mystery to me why there are reviews (here and outside of Yelp) with complaints about payments.

While you're meeting with the team, they are constantly on their phones, not listening or caring what your needs actually are. They fumble around with ideas, pulling them out of thin air and borrowing ideas from other campaigns. I spent about 15 hours working with the team before deciding I needed my money back and needed to find a new marketing team. They kept saying no, you are so close to having the perfect campaign, don't leave us now. This place might be okay if you don't really need a major marketing campaign, or you're experienced with working with marketing people but definitely not for first time small business owners.
