We were uncertain (har!har!) what we'd find there but treasures were found by all. The most surprising and touching treasures for me were: 1. Making the acquaintance of (2) 3-week-old Nigerian dwarf goat/kid pets and their new "mama". It was love at first cuddle!! 2. Homemade strawberry fig preserves which I CANNOT wait to smother on some toast and ENJOY! The other couple with us found a great vintage-style wall hanging for their media room and some other Texan thingamajigs. Whether looking for something large, small, knicky, or knacky, or a bit dohicky - you could find some treasures here and if not - perhaps leave with some pleasant memories or having had a nice chat with one of the local booth owners.

I'm kind of new in town, a new horse owner, and English is not my first language. You could imagine I was up for a challenge when shopping for things I didn't even know I needed 5 minutes before. They have always been very patient, kind and helpful, even walking me to the place the product I'm looking for is, no matter how far or how obvious the location is. When the feed I wanted was not carried by them, the manager kindly shared with me the name of another store where they carry it. If you had issues with these kind people I'd suggest that you check your attitude first.

Going into her shop is a step back into the past for me. She also has a Clearance Shop that is only open on Friday and Saturday (I think) that houses the items that she has not sold over the years. I collect Barbie - and have bought a few from the shop over the years. The Clearance Shop sells everything for at least 50% off - so it is fun to browse through and see what you can find there. She has a lot of the old Hallmark ornaments, Beanies, and who knows what else? It is worth a trip to Daingerfield to visit her shops.
