It was about 6 hours ago, and I've already talked about it with a friend. This is one of the nicer small parks I've seen anywhere. Anywhere anywhere. It's along the North Davis greenbelt right at the edge of Anderson and F. There's a pier over the Julie Partansky pond and there's a small pond in the middle of a nice grass area with an island in the middle. All sorts of birds frolicked merrily at this quiet park, the most interesting of the lot being a great white egret that I saw perched on the island in the middle of the small pond. There are benches around it and I stopped off to just look at everything. It's a really nice piece of nature tucked between streets where you wouldn't expect something so nice to be. I must have sat in the same spot for ten minutes just staring. Bike here alone and clear your mind from the weights on your shoulders. Take a date here for a walk or a picnic or something. There's plenty of room to roam, and it's honestly such a peaceful spot to just exist outside for a while. Now... the only downside is the public restroom situation. The lack of doors is a bold architectural choice -- very "trust fall with society." As a woman, it's a little... unsettling. And the inside? Let's just say it gave strong Silent Hill vibes. Not quite the immersive nature experience I was looking for. That said, the park itself is beautiful and totally worth visiting. Just maybe handle your restroom business before you arrive -- or be prepared for a survival horror side quest.
