Another associate had an attitude when I asked her. Could the box be open? So I could see after I found the item I was looking for. An associate by the name of aaron came out to assist me, and was the greatest thing that happened during my visit there. He was very polite in patient with my questions. He opened the box so I could see the color of the chair that I was wanting to buy. He told me how the assembly of the chair would be. He went to the front to find the price of the chair. He bought the chair out of all the mayhem that was in the back of the store to the front and have my brother to load it in the car. He is a great fit for this company here in danville. He is a very outstanding employee. I told him thank you, but I would like some type of recognition for the job that he did today.

Three days later, I called the store about 45 minutes before arriving to let them know I was on my way. When I arrived, I immediately saw the rug I had already purchased sitting in a basket. I mentioned that they had already brought my rug up, but an associate insisted it wasn't mine and called the manager to look for it in the back. While they searched, I showed them a photo of the rug and my receipt. They confirmed my purchase was in the system but still couldn't find it. I even walked to the back of the store to show the manager where the rug had been. By the time I returned to the front, the associate had sold my rug to another customer. The rug had been sold twice--even though I had already paid for it days earlier. The manager told me there was nothing they could do except issue a refund. While I got my money back, that did not make up for the wasted trip, the time I spent, or the frustration of having an item I had already purchased sold to someone else. This situation should never have happened. Better communication and inventory control are clearly needed. I expected much better customer service and would not recommend this store based on my experience.

Today was no different, and I needed a quick, cheap kids' book. $1 for a book? Yes, thank you. And bonus, no line, I went right up to the cash register, paid, and was out of there. The store was clean, well-lit, and neat. There were no things laying around, and the shelves were orderly and organized. It wasn't Nordstrom, but it was pleasant and enjoyable. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. My experience was positive, the cashier was polite, my book was only a buck, and I was in and out in just a few minutes. A+

For those not familiar with the area, here's the deal about this mall…read more Danville used to big a major textile city since the Dan River flows right through the center of town. When those went bust loooong ago, the city went downhill. This is the only mall in the area, and when you have a population without a lot of money, you get stores, or a lack thereof, to match. Well, there were 4 anchor stores here: Belks, Sears, JC Penny, and Dunhams Spirts. Sears and JC penny are gone. The "food court" has a Chinese food place and a cookie place. Elsewhere, there's a Chick-fil-A and a pretzel joint. The majority of the stores are gone. However, the mall is not run down or dirty. It's clean, well lit, and inviting. With the new Cesar's casino in Danville, expect some major changes to happen to this mall.

Came in here on a weekday and I can count the people that were shopping. People also come here to walk for exercise. They have the right idea. No people to bump into and disrupt your exercise! Lol The number of places to eat is very limited. By that I mean there's only 4. I'm okay with that, because all I want's Cinnamon pretzel bites at Monk's. The girl behind the register greeted us immediately plus there's no line! There's a department store (Belk) . They didn't have a huge selection. So, I didn't find what I was looking for. The prices seemed to be less than Belk's in big cities, which is nice! Hopefully, vendors will start coming in soon in anticipation of Caesars Virginia's opening in 2024. My husband and I talked about going here to start walking when weather's bad.

I'm not about to pay $78 for Lee jeans I can get at Walmart for $26. While selection and sale pricing is great, their customer service could use a lot of work. As I approached one employee to ask a question, she looked me up and down, and walked away! Now, I'm not dressed like Martha Stewart on a day out but I'm not complete bum material either. I shrugged it off and took my purchase to the register. The cashier, Janice, was very chatty with the people in front of me, to the point of slowing down the line enough to make one woman walk away. She was smiling, happy, and seemed very friendly. When I got to the register, I said "hello, how are you today?" and got a "Hi, Will you be paying with your Peebles charge?" "No, I have a gift card" she sighed like it was a problem and when I told her I had a coupon, well, she just scanned it and told me the price. No "thank you, no have a nice day" Just handed me my bag and looked past me to the next person. Seriously?! I checked to make sure my teeth were clean and I nothing hanging out of my nose when I got in the car! There is really no reason to be snotty to customers no matter how they are paying for something. I usually overlook little things but it's not the first time I've seen this kind of snobby behavior by the employees here. I won't be back. There are other nice boutiques in the area who will gladly take my money with a smile.
