Surprisingly organized and clean, very easy to navigate. We were quick in grabbing what we needed and headed out with barely a line at the checkout area. Prices are pretty reasonable. We were greeted with an associate asking if we wanted the holiday gift guide, but we politely declined. Nonetheless, there was a decent number of staff in the chance that we do need any assistance. There are camera recordings throughout the store, so just slightly creepy. We checked out the electronics section, and they have a collection of games in this area. Although, we didn't get to explore the whole store, I'm sure there's plenty around the store to check out. read more

Everything was good until I paid for my stuff. I even put 5 stars on the self checkout and not even 4 seconds after I turned around from self checkout line, a lady says, " excuse me, you didn't scan the sparkling ice water". I told her I literally scanned it the 3rd last item and she still says I need to see receipt. She looks at receipt. And says hold on let me just double check with the scanner gun. And then checks receipt and starts laughing because she was wrong. Never apologized, or said have a good day. Just laughs as I walked to the exit. If you are worried about people stealing. Terrible customer service. Called multiple times to check on availability of an item. I finally got fed up calling the specific department (electronics), and just called the customer support line. The person who answered told me the item wasn't in (no problem) but when I asked if they knew when they would be getting more in, I was met with a rude tone and told to check online. Guess what, Walmart currently isn't showing that item online in their inventory nation wide, so it's a bit hard to check on line for something they don't have listed. *EDIT* I've been going to the store for the last few days in order to have a chance to get the item I want. I take time out of my day, I show up before the store opens and wait in line to see if they have restocked. This morning I get there, wait, walk in at open, only to find that the employees have been allowed to wait inside before the general public, and were sold the item first. Guess what, they ran out once they got to me. That means out of the available supply on hand only ONE was sold to the general public (I was 2nd in line of people waiting outside), the rest were sold to the staff, who did not have to wait outside, and had the unfair advantage of not only being let in early to get the item, but probably knew it was going to be there before hand. Worst ran store I have ever come across. The customer is treated like a bother, when all they want is some kind of reasonable answer to a question, and they obviously don't put customers first. read more

Terrible Employees who haven't a clue what they are doing. Take the extra time and go to any other location but this one unless you enjoy wasting your time and being yelled at. I ordered Christmas cards online and was to pick them up at Merrill WI location. Received an email saying to pick up at Photo Center prior to 8:00 pm. The email was dated Friday, 12/15. I arrived before 8 and they couldn't find my order. I was told they would call when ready or they found them. Three people looked in Photo center and back room. Kept saying they don't have anything to do with Fuji and that everyone who ordered online had trouble and how they hate when people order online. One employee even said it was stupid to do it. I explained that I live in Tomahawk and it would be another trip (32 miles one way). They never offered to reprint the cards. I tried online tracking but said they were delivered to Merrill store on 15th. I called twice daily to Merrill photo center asking about my order but they kept saying they never received the order. Seven employees in all said they would look and call me back but no one ever did. I called Thursday, December 21 in evening and was told no cards but he would call Fuji and call me back. He didn't nor did he say they would reprint the cards. I went to Merrill store again on Friday, December 22nd and nice women tried to find them, came back out with a tall man who immediately started yelling at me. He remembered me calling the night before. Assistant Manager came and watched him yell at me until I was in tears. He said he didn't have time for someone who didn't want to be helped. He wanted to print the cards in house and I was trying to tell him that I didn't have the pictures along but he would let me finished. I tried to say that if he would have called me back the night before I and mentioned that option, I would have brought them with me. Many customers were watching this happen and the first women to help looked on in utter amazement but didn't say anything to that man, nor did the Assistant Manager try to stop his tirade as by this point the assistant manager was there as well. He and everyone else again looked in the photo center and back room. No cards. I gave the assistant manager my cell number and instead of going to Wausau to finish my shopping. I went back home and got the pictures. I got back at Merrill store at a bit after 3:00 pm and photo worker and Assistant Manager offered to print cards and give me a refund and $25.00 gift card. I got Wal-Mart customer service on the phone and they again confirmed that the photos were at the Merrill store. I went out to my car to get my laptop and when I got back in the store to photo they guy said we found them at the online pickup at the service counter (first I heard of this pickup area and first time they looked there). Not one person that worked in Photo ever looked or thought of that in over a week. Then they had the nerve to make a joke about it and the Assistant Manager said "I wish you would have talked to me first" as the cards had been there for a full week. Two trips, 138 miles, to be humiliated for their mistake and incompetence. But hey I got a $25.00 gift card. Never going in Merrill WI store again. read more
