This location has been coming in handy for me lately! They have everything I need and if not I can request for it to be shipped and it arrives if not on the same day eve next day. I have been nesting recently and have been limited to getting out due to medical limitations, so I must give props on who and where I've been shopping to help along this journey. This review is for the Auto Service Center. I don't know why they have a phone number because they NEVER answer the phone. It will ring and ring until you get an automated message stating that it's a busy time and call back later. It doesn't matter what time of day you try to call. I'm trying to find out the status of my tire shipment before I make the drive over to pick them up. The website shows delivered but I've not received notification from the store to pick them up. I have to take them to another Walmart Auto Service Center to have them installed because Austin Peay center doesn't have a functioning tool (broken for 2 Years according to the Service Manager) to install the size tires (20") I need and purchased via walmart.com that directed me to the Austin Peay Service Center. My online order was over 2 hours late in total. The first person I asked after an hour told me they would check on it. They did not. 20 minutes later another worked said that my order had gotten lost and I could: 1. cancel 2. get them to resupply which would take 15 minutes. After 15 minutes MORE in the 30 degree weather I went to Customer Service. They sent me to the order processing area. They found my order which was missing an item and now I get home, it's missing another item. Walmart Austin Peay is the worst place I ever shop . 12/14/2024, I had a pick up order from 8-9 pm only because I work so that was the only time I could get there. Get there get on the app let know I have arrived sitting there waiting patiently. I noticed it was 9:00 no one has come out so I called the number posted no answer called the store phone no answer. I pulled from the pickup spot and park proceed to go in the store ask the greeter if there was a manager on duty so told me to walk to end of the register there should be someone. Get to this person I ask him for a manager/supervisor he asked what was the problem I explained to him that I been waiting for someone to bring my order out he stated they have a manager in that department very nasty and rude. Memphis Wallyworld. Would it be great if all Walmart's were designed the same? Maybe Walmart just likes to play psychology, but humans are habitual creatures, we go to the same stores, buy the same stuff, go to the same aisles and just detest change. I say this to be funny, but it is true. One store walk in and on the left is the pharmacy, another location is the children's department, another is lawn and garden and the next location is groceries. I want to get in and get out, but they purposely sidetrack us by blueprinting each store differently to intentionally keep us from leaving and to buy more stuff than we really wanted to, while looking for what we originally came for. If you can avoid going into this location do so at all cost, drive out of your way if you have to, stock on hand is always pretty good even with the gluten of free Covid aid going on, the problem is customer service or lack there of, the store where "this is not my section", and they turn and walk away or they give you an attitude when you press, was there today and was told by an assistant manager in the automotive section that I couldn't check out at her register because she wasn't a cashier??, when I asked her if she was going to call the cashier I received a bothered look, I just said never-mind and walked away, pitiful, no wonder the workers have poor attitudes if assistant managers act this way. read more

I never leave negative reviews, but this one is much warranted. I would give this place negative stars if possible. I placed an online order for pickup. I used the app to tell the store I was on my way, and I checked in when I got there. I waited 35 minutes. During that time I called the store pick up line 3 times and the store customer service once (using the number provided for the store in the app). No answers. I had to leave because I had a sick child, so I called again hoping I could get it delivered. Amazingly, someone answered. I told her what happened. She told me no one had called, accused me of lying, and eventually hung up on me. This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I ended up calling for assistance through the app, and a very nice rep (presumably in a call center) helped me sort it out by canceling everything without a cancellation fee. And, BTW, there's a screenshot of the call log from where I called multiple times while waiting in pickup . I can understand having to wait extended time because the associates are busy. I can even understand incompetence. This, however, was just ridiculous. read more

The store is very clean and presentable with the new upgrades. The aisles are free of clutter. Finding what you need and getting around the store is easier than ever because of the upgrade, it's like every other Walmart Supercenter the overall design and layout and storm just makes it really easy shop and the store personnel are great. They've had issues here with crime so we will see how this visit goes read more

This Walmart is no longer 24 hours. I'm assuming it's due to the crime rate in the area. Crime doesn't have a zip code but I know it's higher here. Just keep that in mind when you're up at 4am and want to shop before your kids wake up like me, lol! read more

I'm not a fan of WalMart. But occasionally I shop here for specific items. And most of the time they don't have that item in stock. But this time as I checked out I was mesmerized. Cashiers galore. They have remodeled this store quite a bit since I was last here 3 years ago prior to moving to Atlanta. The arrangement seems a bit off, but this store has always been in some sort of flux with it's aisles. And the selection of items is very limited as opposed to other store locations. read more

When we try to reach anybody nobody answered not even The grocery site with a person order a lot of products of our name of my husband's name on top of that. This is a Walmart. Walmart is like a vortex. They are all identical- so much so I've actually found myself exiting one and forgetting what state I was in. There's a full grocery store in this location which is always a plus. Walmart, though not my favorite and not all that clean, always has grocery items and products I have a hard time finding at other stores. They also tend to be cheaper (go figure) grocery wise than any other grocery stores aside from Aldi. I don't like supporting big box stores like this, but given our extreme lack of any good grocery stores and the fact that I despise Kroger- I'll happily give them my business until something worthwhile opens up. read more

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. I have complained to Dorothy ( i think is store supv) three times last year and twice this year. The whole store only has TWO working motorized wheel chairs. They are ALWAYS in USE...She said she had ordered 3 more when i spoke to her last year. now she says they are on "back order"?????????? I dont fall for this... I does not take time to get them as new walmart that opened on Raleigh Lagrange has 11 working motorized wheel chairs... So i have to drive way out of my way. This location is convenience and the selection is pretty good. What make me give only 3 stars is they don't have enough cashier/ checker. We went there Saturday evening (it's 1st Sat of a month after pay day and, off course, everyone shop that day). There was 24 counters but only 4 opened. This store where do I start... This store is bad. It is not called by it's name, well slightly. It's known as "Ratchet-Mart." I recall my first time there( Sept 2014) after first coming to Memphis and wondering if I had fallen into the NY subway tracks that's an understatement, the tracks are cleaner. It was so much trash in the parking lot. But I gave it a chance anyway considering it was late at night. By the way it seems to be a common dumping ground for bad tires, believe me I ran over one once. Then again I visited for some Christmas shopping (Dec 2014) bought a fit bit device paid full price only to discover that it was used and dirty. Really dirty. (Jan 2015) bought a camera stand only to return home to find it broken. (Feb 2015) Later that month went to find a blazer or suit coat, nothing special and was told by the unhelpful worker there that they don't have it. Discovering that the other Wal-Marts carry them. At this point I was fed up with the store. I started traveling to Bartlett Wal-Mart. Besides that since my first time going there up until the last time it seems like they very rarely restock or put out new stuff. It seems to be the dumping ground for the other Wal-Marts. On a few occasions going there were very few cash registers open. Once I went and the lady saw us coming and closed the register we stood there for I don't know how long wondering wtf because she had the only open register. It was several customers standing with us. It always looked disorganized and cluttered not making for an enjoyable shopping experience. This was like midnight stock stuff from the previous night just sitting there. Yes I have called to complain about this but nothing would be done. So I take my business else where and encourage others to do so too. Came to do an online pick up. The girl stood there talking to some other lady and failed to say hey I'll help you in a min, we're waiting on this or that. So I'm just standing there looking around. So I just walked up to the counter and looked dead at her. She proceeded to talk to this lady about how someone thought she didn't know how to do her job. Then she finally told me she was waiting for some body to bring something for the lady that she was talking to. The girl told me it wasn't ready and to wait for an email. Ok cool. Go to the Dollar Tree for about 15min and get the email. I go back and stand as the 2nd person in line from 1:25 until 1:40. TWO associates have asked have I as well as the 4 ppl behind me been helped. I tell the first guy no and he keeps walking. I tell the second lady no and she says oh he's probably looking for her stuff and should be back in a min. WHY ASK IF YOURE NOT GOING TO HELP ANY IF US?!?!?! I had a great and easy experience at the millington Walmart where that store was the closest that had the bike my mom ordered for my son. This store has had stocking problems for over two years now. For example, this is November, and the pens and refills have still not been restocked from the school rush in September. No solar calculators and other basic items that are available at other Walmart stores are in stock here. Prescriptions typically have a 45 minute wait, while other Walmarts are twenty minutes or less. There are also never enough handicap carts; there are only five and at least one is usually out of service. I live less than 6 blocks from it and still find it better to drive the eight miles to the Wolfchase store instead. I just called with a question about a product and after more than 15 rings in two departments and a page, I finally got a salesperson in the third department. He walked over to the department twice to answer my questions and he was very competent and nice, but he should not have had to put out someone else's fire to the neglect of his own department. read more
