This review/opinion goes for pretty much every Walmart I've ever been in. Walmart represents the worst things about what's happening to America today. Cheap quality products, low-paid, low-morale workers. No incentive to raise the bar on anything. I dread going into this, or any Walmart. Having to deal with some of the clientele that patron Walmart, and then the attitude of the workers in the check out lines......ugh. The ONLY thing Walmart has going for it is price. We never get cold groceries here....only dry goods and cleaning supplies. If it wasn't for price, the new Kroger Marketplace would take all of Walmarts clients. If money was no object, I'd gladly shop at Kroger for everything. At least I can get through the checkout line quickly there. To checkout at Walmart takes just as long as it did to shop! read more

if I could rate it zero stars I would! I live in Hernando, and I deliver for spark delivery, which is Walmart delivery, so I go to Walmarts all over the county, and every single one of them are better than Hernando. Which you wouldn't expect; due to its smaller nature and small town vibes. You will be sitting there for 30 minutes to an hour, and no one will answer the phone, no one will come out and ask you what you're waiting for or anything. I'm currently sitting out here, and there are no other cars here picking orders up, and I'm simply trying to get my personal Walmart delivery order that contains three things. It was scheduled for yesterday @ 1pm, but I couldn't get anyone to come out or answer the phone to get it then. I also went back last night, same problem. If you accept a spark delivery for a Hernando Walmart, you might as well clear your schedule for the next two hours, because you won't be making any deliveries in between then, because they are so slow. Once I walked up there to the door to get their attention just to get a tiny order, and there were employees sitting down on crates playing on their phones. I don't give a damn when they decide to play on their phone, when there aren't customers to tend to, but when there are customers, they should be at attention. everything else in Hernando Mississippi is of excellent quality, but Walmart pick up. Will take you longer than shopping for the groceries yourself. I was in the Hernando Walmart the other day looking for a camera-card reader for my computer. Everything had been rearranged (as is done every week it seems) in the photo-electronics area. I "axed" a young female employee if she could find it for me. "They done moved errverthing last night. I don't know where nothing be." Then along came Bobbie, "What do you need, hon?" "We have some in a cart in the back", and she came out with three different ones for me to choose from. Different generations, different attitudes, different results. read more

This location is poorly stocked and usually low on most popular items with so much of the unpurchased items being stocked to fill in empty spaces. The spaces are then looked over for reorder because the shelf is conveniently already full. There is an attendant for self checkout... if you can find them off getting their own groceries, busy on their phone, or talking to their friend at one of the other registers. Finding someone to look up stock while you are there is difficult because they "don't work that department", "are busy helping another person", or "can't leave their area." Luckily for us, there are no customer service phones and the employees don't have radios to call for assistance. Then again, most Walmarts are getting to the point they just do their job and don't help the customer, but this one seems worse in some magical way. I prefer going to one of the other ones on my home from work one night instead of just popping over literally 2 blocks to this one. read more

The worst customer service: 2600 McInvgvale rd Hernando, MS 38632- @12 p.m. on 7/18/2020. Cashier was a female, with shoulder length curly hair, who was at last register where you can buy cigerettes. Apparently this was a 20 items or less checkout, but there was no sign posted. The cashier had rang up some items then told me to get my bags because her bag area was getting full. I said "oh I'm sorry" and grabbed some bags. As I was putting some items on the counter she said "hold on I'm not sure what I rang up already". Then with a very rude attitude she says "this is only a 20 items or less register, it's for people buying cigerettes and this is too much stuff." I said " oh I didn't see a sign" and I even looked. She said with even more attitude as she's pointing to her bag area "see there's only one, two, three and there's not enough room and there was a sign but it fell down." Only thing I said to her was " I guess it should be hung back up then." There was more attitude after that of course. There was no reason for it.I even greeted her(not her greeting me) when I got up to the register. I lost all respect for this employee and grabbed my receipt and left. I heard her talking about me to the customer behind me after I walked away. The man behind me who was getting cigerettes, yelled for me outside the store. He felt bad for how I was treated and said that was not my fault at all. This Walmart is definitely not known for it's good customer service but this is uncalled for and I should not be treated like crap for getting in a 20 items or less checkout. This happens to so many ALL the time. I have never complained on an employee before but she had me pretty upset about my shopping experience that I tried calling the store a few times but no one would answer the phone. If you don't like your job quit. If your a manger of Walmart, do a better job of keeping up with how your employees are doing. How hard is it to be respectful? I always treat people with respect until they don't deserve it. I know in this area not many are taught respect, they just treat people how they want. read more

It's a typical mal-wart with the same philosophy - get the money above all else. I must disgrace myself and say that I have been to this store a handful of times as a last resort when I could not find what I needed at other stores. Each time there is a loud beeping noise coming from somewhere. It is extremely annoying to the point of causing a headache. I don't see how people stand to "work" there. The price check scanners are also incredibly and unnecessarily loud, as are the self checkout registers, when they are working. The store is not very clean and the employees are either no help at all or nonexistent, which is typical of mal-wart stores everywhere. And believe it or not, mal-wart has brainwashed people for many years into thinking they have the lowest prices. This is completely untrue. I have proved it many times over that Kroger is far cheaper and has far better quality products. As I said before mal-wart is the last choice for me, not just this store, but the entire bureaucracy. read more

I HATE to have to go to this place! And IF I do I use self check out. I try my hardest to stay away from the lazy and rude employees. The last time I was checked out by an employee the girl was on her cell phone (blue tooth) talking to someone. Every nice employee they have they get rid of. And the only time I have seen them smile is when they are making fun of customers. RUDE DISRESPECTFUL AND NO HOME TRAINING! Just trash thank god for Kroger I will pay that extra cost. read more
