We came out with Diet Dr. Pepper (12-packs on sale, 2/$12), 2 Easter cards, microfiber wiping cloths, cereal, soft tortilla wraps, and, of course, the tissues! While in the store, we noticed some signs that a $10 off $30 coupon was available, IF you sign up for a Family Dollar account. We chose to do this but had to step out-of-the-store for sufficient connectivity to open the account and download the coupon. A bit of a hassle but it'll be easier next time now that we have an account. Also, note that the coupon required that you spend at least $30, not including the discounts provided -- so we ending up buying more soda that originally intended. The cashier, who was doubly working in the aisles and serving as cashier, was very friendly and greeted every customer as they entered the store. Note that the store does not allow shopping carts to leave the store, which was a hassle with all of our soda cans and the fact that we hadn't parked that close to the entrance. But, the cashier had offered to help us to carry our items (which we declined). Update/beware: when we got our four 12-packs of Diet Dr. Pepper home, we found that 3 of 4 of the packs contained sodas that were tasteless -- seemingly like carbonated water without soda syrup. Upon contacting the manufacturer, and providing product codes, we learned that they were past their expiration dates (though there was no way to know this from the packaging). Diet Dr. Pepper gave us generous coupons to replace our purchases; hence, we did not try to return them to Family Dollar.

Menards does but happens to be out of what I needed (just a couple regular 90 elbows, come on Menards, do better on your stock.). I was about to drive 50 miles to Menards in Tridelphia, and thought to myself, might as well call Sandy's as it is 2 miles from my parents house where I need the. Three of them in stock, saves a three hour round-trip drive, allows me to continue working over the weekend. This is ALWAYS the case with these guys, been there my entire adult life (and I'm 56] and they ALWAYS have it. Back in the day (30+ years ago) Bridgeport Ace when still in the old building would have had just a bit better selection and been the go to, but Sandy's is still there and still old school in 2026. Whatever to the guy who panned them on his mower service here, stuff happens, but admittedly I do all my own service. Books-A-Million is a chain bookstore located inside the Meadowbrook Mall. With malls continuing to…read moredwindle in store options in general, it is nice that there is still a bookstore in this mall at all. This store is near the Marshall's entrance of the mall, with plenty of lot parking. It is a bright and well kept store, with front displays and shelves that cater to best-seller fiction readers, both adult and young adult. Then the typical common genres are shelved in the back, i.e. fiction, non-fiction, childrens, etc. We stopped in just after Christmas, and all of the calendars were half off, so I snagged a couple of those. My 12-year old son was particularly enamored with a set of fountain pens, and purchased them for $13 with some of his Santa money. I was impressed with the larger assortment of Tarot decks in stock in the mystic section of the store, with a new pasta-themed Tarot deck I had not seen elsewhere. In the bargain book section, I snagged an anthology of Ray Bradbury short stories I didn't have for five bucks. My husband bought a few books too, including the novel that the show 'Altered Carbon' is based on. The staff were all friendly enough, and are doing a good job overall of keeping the store tidy. We were just visiting on a family road trip to the Bridgeport WV area, but if we lived near here, we would frequent Books-A-Million when in need of a chain bookstore.
