Can't buy a gun even with a concealed carry permit. They make you take an extra trip to store to pick it up in three days. I arrived when they opened and went back to sporting goods to pick out gun I wanted. First of all there is never anyone in sporting goods so you have to run someone down. Once you do that they tell you that you can't buy a gun before 9am????? I said you open at 8am and I'm here now? Woke comes to mind. read more

My son and I went into the store. Spoke to the automotive dept manager. Got a definate impression that corperate had come down on them. She got most of my money refunded. $250 out of $267. I'm just glad to have the most of it back. Don't know why it had to be so horrible! Still will never shop in that store again. Judge away guys, but sometimes you need to go to Wal mart. The thing that makes this Wal Mart review worthy is the fact that it's clean. Yes, clean. So many times I go to other Wal Marts and I think, "good God this place is gross", but here it wasn't like that. Everything was well organized and again, clean! Another good thing is that since this town is small it isn't busy which helps get you in and out. During our trip we stopped here multiple times for items at the house and each trip was a breeze. There are no self check-outs here, but that really isn't a big deal if you're not in a rush. This is a small town so you pretty much get front parking nearly every time. Not a huge fan of any Wal-mart. I don't really much care for big box chain stores. I am a much bigger fan of small mom and pop stores. I think that everyone needs to support those stores over the larger stores any day. That is my opinion. Also, I hate that they do not ever have enough lines open and if there are no self-check-outs, that makes life a lot harder on people who have hip issues and have to stand in line on the hard floor. #ugh #PostingDiva. read more

I use the Wal-Mart in Dunnellon a lot. I have to let you know about the pharmacy department. While for the most part everyone that works there is great, there is the pharmacy manager ( I believe ) Stewart who plays like he listens to complaints and does from time to time help his customers. However if you confront him about a new prescription of a similar type that you recently had filled, or a mistake on the amount of medication is made, per refill, he becomes a royal pain. He knows that he is right or is a doctor rather than a pharmacist and you can't win your argument, even if you call Bentonville AR. Corporate offices and complain. I understand that laws have changed due to drug abuse, and pharmacist have to follow the law. But when a patient that has been getting refills on super expensive medication explains that he is not filling the meds with the proper numbers of meds per package, he should investigate rather than thinking he is correct. Or if your doctor calls in a prescription and the insurance company approves the rx, he should do his job and fill the rx rather than play like he has more authority and education than a doctor. Save yourself a hassle if your new to Wal-Mart pharmacy in Dunnellon, take your prescriptions to Walgreens or any place other than Wal-Mart. The jerk had me trespassed for reporting him to my insurance provider for shorting my meds and charging the insurance provider for the full price of the rx. I give this Wally World 4 stars because of the Co Mgr - Richard. He did an amazing job correcting a Hot Mess caused by Ship to Store, a mess they abandoned and left in eternal limbo, he nipped it and showed that Walmart does care about reg customers. I give Walmart 4 stars as a whole b/c their Savings Catcher Rocks! I would have never known, had it not been for a cashier at this store. Their biggest issue, they have some Mucho Unhappy Cashiers, Yikes! About 1/2 of their cashiers are unfriendly, snarky and generally miserable. It's hit or miss, but any employee I have stopped within the store has always been helpful and professional. It's small, hometown..ish but it's a good store and we enjoy using it vs traveling to get to another. read more

Very small store. Lots of items they don't stock. People are standard Wally World issue. Some days they are great and some days not. We often have to order on line and pick up at store or go to Ocala for what we need. No self check out lines. With the average age of Dunnellon resident's being about 105 it makes sense, I guess. The sad part is they are the best in town. read more
