7/8 update: we returned an item yesterday due to missing parts/double other parts. We were assured it would not be back on the floor. It was put back on the floor today. Customer service directly told us they don't check returns before putting things back on the floor. They didn't even have to check this one and they still messed up. AVOID HERE AT ALL COSTS!! Go literally anywhere else or at the very least go to the Walmart in Starkville instead. This is the worst walmart I have ever been to. It is extremely dirty, unkept, and employees are no help, rude, and act like it's a hassle when you ask them to do your job. However, they shut down half the self checkout lanes at almost every point of the day forcing you to interact with them. We recently tried to return an item, and purchase a new one for the same price but they would not honor the price we paid. I have never had a store try to get you to pay more for an even exchange. Sorry to hear so many bad yelp reviews. We visited Walmart multiple times over the weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and even made two trips on Saturday because the prices were just that great! I was amazed to find items at a fraction of the cost compared to Los Angeles, and we ended up getting everything we needed, from clothes for the kids to a few things for ourselves. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the store was well-stocked and organized. Every visit felt like a win we saved money and received excellent service. I went into the Shop to have my oil changed and they tried to tell me that there were bugs inside my car. Now it has been over hundred degrees and my car sets in the sun 7 days a week nothing could live in that. There were no bugs in my car. My mother had to go into the shop and drive my car out. They have 25 registers, and several self check out registers. Only 3 registers are open and maybe 5 of the self checkouts that aren't for members are open. I remember now why I hate coming here!!! Columbus Walmart could do better but that means they'd have to care. read more

I purchased 2 good year tires 4 my Suv got the tires installed and afterwards my truck began to show a tire pressure fault on my dash took my truck back and found out that they had damaged my tire sensor and the manager Kendrick in so many words told me that it's on me I'm in the process of calling corporate because I refuse to just let them damage my vehicle and take his it's not on us attitude PLEASE TAKE YOUR VEHICLE SOMEWHERE ELSE unless you have money to throw away after they break something and put it back like they've done nothing ‼‼‼This was done on 3/25 read more

Walmart returns is supposed to close at 10pm not 950pm on Sunday July 28. Very disappointing

I've seen so many workers and pallets out and when I see a bunch of registers not open, that really frustrates me. I print photos and schedule it to be ready within an hour. Absolutely do not recommend the Walmart in Columbus. Every staff member I've spoken to is extremely incompetent, rude, and never wants to help me out with anything. Nothing is ever available when I need it. If you need something done, forget it! I don't even wanna put one star for them. read more

Won't let me give what you deserve 0. I placed a delivery order with the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 20307 Mountain Highway. 2 packs of rotten Cod was sent to me. Not only expired but putrid. I wouldn't feed anyone rotten food, fish or otherwise. This is totally unacceptable Called the store and the Managers are in a meeting. Got this stupid message saying return the fish. I'm disabled that's the purpose of delivery. Damn! If I was able to shop I wouldn't have ordered delivery. Why must I be further inconvenienced for poor food quality. I would give a lower rating if I could. I spent 3 1/2 hours, almost 4 even waiting on the tire center to complete 1, ONE!!!!! tire change. 1. I purchased a new tire and set the old one with the auto technician in the tire bay at 12:30 pm. It is now 4:15 pm. I checked frequently stating that i may have missed the call out on the PA system. No. No missed call. They claimed there was a "new system" that had been implemented and I should have recieved a text. No text. In fact, I sat down in an aisle close by and waited. Another day at what appears to be the worst Walmart in the country. As I was driving up the lane looking for a parking spot, one of the shopping cart crew came from my right and had every intention of cutting in front of me. When I wasn't having his rude behavior he came very close to hitting my vehicle and then stood there with his arms in the air as if I were the one being rude to him. This is becoming a common event at the Columbus MS store as this same person has cut me off before. I attempted to call the Store Manager but no one would answer the phone. If this is how Walmart values its customers, and this is how the employees treat customers, I'm pretty sure I can find another store who will appreciate my business. This place was a joke before Corona virus. Now it's just sad. Empty shelves on every isle and they can't even keep their own name brands in stock. Employees congregate in the middle of an isle and play grabass instead of working and customers have to try to get around them. Cashiers are non-existent. Everything is self checkout. I don't get paid to do their job. As a retired truck driver, I've been to Wally-Worlds across the country. This one is the only one that I would recommend to either fire the incompetent manager and his useless staff or close the store permanently. read more

This Walmart has always had poor customer service in the 7 years I have lived in Columbus. Today really showed how bad things were in this particular store. The business I work for buys in bulk from Walmart several times a month. I called to check on a products availability for a pick up and the woman who took my call asks me "who do you thinks gonna go count all those?" I laughed and said I'm sorry I didn't catch what you said. Hoping I heard her wrong. She then says it again and very rudely says she will go find someone and leaves me on hold so long I had enough time to call Kroger and get what I needed ordered by a very polite employee. read more
