I just wanted to leave a review about the VISION CENTER and DR ALICIA CROOKS. Unfortunately there's not a different heading just for the vision center or Dr Crooks so I'll leave it here :) I was in a time crunch and needed to get my yearly eye exam and the place I usually go couldn't get me in for a month. They actually recommended that I see Dr Crooks at this location. I called and she was able to see me within a few days of my call. When I arrived for my exam I was warmly and friendly greeted by staff. Check-in was fast and easy. I'd never saw Dr Crooks before so wasn't sure what to expect. She was VERY nice and friendly! She discussed my medical history with me, gave me a thorough eye exam and answered any questions I had. Unlike some places the exam was not rushed. She took her time and did a thorough exam. The staff gladly help me look at frames and helped me find some that were a good fit for me. As far as frames go there was a nice selection from really inexpensive all the way to really high (as far as I'm concerned). Although there was a fair selection I wish there had been more styles to choose from. My glasses were in in about a week (due to my prescription) and I was met with the same warm, friendly, helpful staff when I went in to pick them up. I highly recommend DR ALICIA CROOKS if you're needing an eye exam and this location of Wal Mart Vision Center if you're needing new glasses or even repairs. read more

Store well organized, not cluttered, staff always willing to help you locate what items, you came to Walmart to purchase. Produce are fresh, reasonable priced, checkout lanes, moves quickly. Able to get a good parking space, even the parking lot is pretty much clean as well. read more

They charge more for the MEOW MIX INDOOR HEALTH 14lb bag in the store than anywhere else and more than their website. Went in to get a few bags. Chewy had the item for $8.96. Wal-Mart @ $12.96. Went to check out and give the price match.... They don't price match any more. Clerk clarifies only price match with WALMART.COM. I wasn't going to check but did and the online price was exactly the same as Chewy.com. Disgusting to charge more on in-store items like this for elders and people with access are limited for a myriad of reasons. I know $4 doesn't sound like a lot but over the course of a year it can mean the world. Again, it just shows the predatory nature or scheme playing out here. read more

The guy in the service department the old tall African American man was so lazy he wouldn't even look at my phone that had my receipt on it. He said I had to have paper receipt then wouldn't even pro rate a battery we bought 2/24/24 today 5/30. Then starts talking about us to another customer and when we asked if he was talking about us he said if I wanted to talk to you I would call you back over here. And starts yelling across the counter as we are walking off. He should be fired but like all employees they know they can't find any help and they can treat customers anyway they want. This man should have stayed retired and never went into customer service. Went to Home Depot and their warranty is for three years. Battery was 30.00 more but so worth it. read more

This Walmart is MASSIVE! I was picking up a few grocery items and looking for a piece of luggage. I never found the luggage, but was able to get some fruit. I saw no employees working the sales floor at all, which was a bit odd on a Saturday afternoon, but whatever. I could probably spend hours at this location, as the people watching was pretty great. Not the people of Walmart website level, but pretty special. The selection of goods is plentiful, there actually seemed to be more than one checkout lane open, at least 6 were open. Amazing. I will be back when I have to inevitably come back for work. Which will probably be sooner than later. read more

I rarely actually have a terrible experience here because I go in with a 3-5 item grocery list and I park in automotive. Pop in - pop out. I'm done . Today the automotive cashier was mia so I had to wait. Maybe 3 minutes. That was mildly annoying. Especially since 3 other employees were tucked away around the corner in crafts lolly gagging & on their phones. The parking convenience still makes up for it. read more

Then I tried to buy a computer, and no one was available to help me because they were too lazy, or they just did not want to help. I am very dissatisfied in my experience at Walmart today. This is the absolute worst Walmart there is. There were rumors that it was going to be shut down and it should have been. I have on several occasions placed orders for store pick up. The website said they had items in stock. Then, I get an email from them and said they cancelled the orders because they are now out of stock. All the horror stories you hear of Walmart are probably based on this store. Years ago I had several items on layaway for Christmas for kids I was buying for. Time to pick them up, I received refunds because these items were "missing". As I was walking toward the customer service desk for my refund, I saw the same exact "missing" items in the sales floor. I will not say this store has nothing you're looking for, if you are looking for frustration and aggravation, they have plenty of that in stock! read more

I am a Wally World loyalist, period. They can do not wrong, as I love me some Walmart. They are not necessarily all equal. I shop at four different locations. I need to write down, which location carries what, in terms of specific brand named items that buy. So when i go and that location do not carry what i am shopping for, that is my fault. Their pharmacy is great. Their prices along with my medical insurance is unbelievable. I have gotten some prescriptions free. Imagine that. read more

Last time I counted they had 34 checkout stands. I've never seen more than 6 operating at one time, even during the Christmas rush. I've seen it where they've had 25 people waiting in every open checkout line and didn't care. I've walked away from a full cart more than once. I'm just not gonna spend an hour or two waiting to get checked out. read more

They contract with a company called Point Pickup to deliver their groceries. Point Pickup refuses to pay their drivers if the order gets cancelled. Some drivers wait over 50 minutes at Walmart to pick up the order, and when it gets cancelled by Point Pickup or the customer the driver doesn't get paid. Don't use the grocery delivery service!! read more

We arrived at 10:45 p.m so I could run in and quickly pick up a fan since it was hot and muggy. When I got out of the car there were SEVERAL workers standing outside and said that the store was already closed. I got back in the car and immediately checked the website and it said that the store didn't close until 11 pm so I called the store. After ringing for a little while, Brittany answered the phone to let me know that they do not allow allow anyone in after 10:45 pm and this is a practice they do every night. We got in our car and went to another store and spent our money there. The unprofessional attitudes of the typical Wal-Mart worker is the reason why I DESPISE Walmart!! Change your hours on the doors/websites to reflect the correct closing time or train them to work until the posted time. read more

I go into a lot of walmarts, usually have the same experience every time. I stopped in to this location looking for particular ice cream. As I was shopping a nice lady asked if I needed help. I told her what I was looking for and she helped me comb through the freezers looking for the pint of elusive ice cream. I didn't have the name but I know what it looked like..lol she stayed with me looking until we were both certain it was not here!! Although I didn't find my sweet treasure, I enjoyed talking with her and she went above and beyond trying to help me. I needed an ice chest this day as well, so I went over to sporting goods and located the chest I wanted loaded into basket and low and behold, I see a great pocket knife in the case! Of course there was no one around, hands pressed against the case gazing at the knife I had to have... as I was about to give up, I heard sir can I help you... it was the same nice lady from the ice cream hunt!!! Lol I told her i wanted the knife in the case, she went behind counter with the coveted master cabinet key and bam... I had my knife!! We talked for 5 or so minutes and she checked me out, and wished me well!! I tell you she was awesome!!! She was great!! Nice day at Walmart!!! read more

I had the worse service in the tire/auto department. Not only was a given the wrong product, but I was made to wait an excessively long time to get my vehicle back. Apparently, nobody felt the need to tell me my vehicle was ready and left me to sit and wait for a hour and half. When I went to complain the tired being wrong, I was met with attitude and total disrespect. I will NEVER RETURN to WALMART for anything else in my life. read more

I dread going to Walmart...but it's just so close to my home in Bossier City I find myself drawn there inexorably, like a moth to a flame. I hate spending my day running all over town to do shopping chores so I end up here because I can pretty much get it all done with one stop and I'm willing to put up with the pain of too tight aisles, too many people and the interminable wait in the check out line cause when I'm done, by God I'm done!! However, having stepped into Walmarts all over the State of LA this one could definitely use a face lift - Most of the newer Walmarts have more spacious aisles and a better layout...but if you absolutely must get your stuff done in a one stop location then suck it up, pull up your big boy or girl drawers and wade in.... read more

Sometimes when you go to a store in a Podunk area or in an older town, you will find that stores are usually not well kept, filthy, have a weird smell, or aren't well-stocked. I expect the Waskom gas station near the almost barren Texas and Louisiana border to be dirty and smell gross. I expect the department store from 1968 in the old part of town to be a bit run down. However, North Bossier is actually a pretty nice area. The local Target, Sam's, Academy Sporting Goods, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. are all fairly well kept. Each of those stores is clean, the staff is helpful, friendly and those stores are each stocked and organized. But regardless of how the surrounding businesses seem to be run, the Airline Drive Bossier City Walmart Super Center still manages to somehow remain this sort of glistening turd beacon of shopping misery. I haven't lived in Bossier for more than 7 years now, and they've remodeled it numerous times, but every time I come to town to visit my parents or in-laws and am forced to go to Walmart, for whatever reason, I quickly am reminded of why I always hated shopping there. This Walmart is dirty and disgusting. God help you if nature calls and you find yourself with no choice but to use the public restroom here. You will see countless potholes and floor tiles missing. You will see numerous shelves missing contents and tags - though you might find said missing shelf contents randomly strewn about the floor all throughout the store. What I probably hate most though is that you will find yourself squeezing through aisles that are too close together between troglodytes on almost each one, at least a few of them screaming - and I have to point this out that they are not doing that "quiet parent trying but failing to stealthily tell Billy to get down from that shelf" sort of scream but actual honest to goodness 100 decibel "Jerry Springer just told me my lover is porking my 600 lb sister" screaming, at their kids wanting a book or toothbrush. "YOU AIN'T NEED NO BUUKS, JENNA! GIT BAK INDA BUGGY!!" If you have ever heard of the website "People of Walmart," well, it wouldn't surprise me if someone said that every picture on that site was taken at this location. Stay away at all costs. Go to the Target right down the street for what non-grocery needs you have, and the Benton Road Brookshire's a couple of miles North for the groceries you need that Target doesn't stock. You will quickly discover that even with longer the drive and inconvenience of having to stop at multiple locations, your overall shopping experience is infinitely less stressful and nausea-inducing. read more

By far the worst online pick experience I have evered had. Yet again Walmart does not disappoint in the customer service at being the worst. I made an order online at 930am and went to pick it up at 230pm and the girl said the order has not been picked yet, but will email when me when it is done. I'm like, really, I'm here and ready to pick it up. Then she said I could cancel my online order and get it myself. So this defeat the purpose of online order with same day pick up, if I walk to the isle and pick it up. The order should be ready in 1 hour for pick up. Walmart family train your people better you got a bunch of lazy people at this property. read more

I went through the self checkout due to not wanting others to touch my groceries (COVID wipe down your groceries) and the self checkout wasn't working as it should have been and they stopped me and my family and accused us of not paying for certain items we thought we had scanned everything but "apparently we didn't " anyways I have never been stopped ever with something of this nature but it's fine they were just following protocol . This has to be the most dysfunctional Walmart in the United States. Everything is everywhere no idea who or why things happen here. Stuff is scattered all over the place. All management wants to tell you is their the highest volume Walmart in the area but other store carry things they refuse to carry. Staff is nice but store has a dirty appearance. It a hot mess. The Bossier City store has the WORST shopping carts of any store that I have visited. Many if not most of the carts have flat spots on the wheels from being drug sideways in the parking lot by the WM cart retrievers. I usually have to try 3 or more to get one that is barely acceptable. The front door worker will not take the bad ones out of service, but rather just push them back in with the others. read more

I usually love going to Walmart and I've had nothing but great experiences at every single one I've ever been to period but today when I came here to get my tire changed how is that at the automotive counter buy an associate who refused to look up the tire that I needed on the computer stating that I had to go and find out what tire I need it on my own and they can help me until I had done that. today before yesterday I went to the Walmart on youree and found the staff their cooperative and extremely helpful. I can't believe that I was denied service because they refuse to do with their job entails. I don't know what kind of business Walmart trying to run here but it's really looking bad. I hope that they can fix this problem in their automotive center because being refused service is absolutely unacceptable. This Walmart is terrible! I went today to purchase a baby gift and the majority of the items on the list were not sold in the store! Or, they were sold out of the items. The list did not direct you to aisles. It just said, "Infants" department. Really helpful...Ugh...The place is a dump and always looks dirty. Ah Walmart. It is by far the worst shopping experience in the free world. If I had a choice of hunting and gathering in the Sudan, or shopping at Walmart, I would choose Sudan, or maybe Afghanistan....it's close. If you need help finding something, don't bother. It's amazing how much better a vehicle drives when it has good tires and people who know what they are doing install and balance them. I am extremely impressed by the Airline Dr Walmart Tire and Lube center. They were extremely cordial and quick. This was literally the first time I left without any complaints. The employees are SO rude and always act like you are inconveniencing them from doing THEIR JOB! And when items are in the incorrect spot and you end up getting overcharged, they don't care and they just say that it was probably in the wrong spot. They could definitely keep up their placement of stock to avoid confusion, overpricing, underpricing, etc. I LOVE the neighborhood market Walmart that's near my house, but unfortunately they don't have EVERYTHING in one place. read more

AUTO SERVICE DEPARTMENT The auto Service tire division is the worst ever. I had a flat and stopped my car immediately. I did not run on and did not damage the tire. I was told by their tire expert repair man and his supervisor that it had to be replaced because of rubber granules that were found inside of the tire casing. Bull! I had it repaired at a Tire Wholesaler in Bossier. I have been driving on that repaired tire for over a month and over 3,600 miles. Both in town and on Interstate Highways to Pennsylvania and back all with NO PROBLEM !!!!!! These so called Walmart " TIRE EXPERTS" are very well schooled in the black art of "UP SELLING" and NOT in the lost art of Customer Service. Do not patronize them. I will NEVER order anything from this location again. The associates are always rude. The last time, a manager made it right. This time the manager was very unprofessional, & didn't make me feel like I mattered. As a manager, your job is to make money for the store. Instead they just lost a customer. There are too many stores around to deal with unprofessionalism. I already don't like shopping due to COVID-19. I will not spend money where I don't feel like I matter. I ordered & prepaid for 2 items online for pickup. Nobody wanted to help my pickup person when he arrived. He called me, & I could hear the associate being rude to someone who was only doing me a favor. I told him to put her on the phone, & let me talk to her. She was very rude to me as well. She said that nobody was going to get the items even though the app cleary says to let them know when you arrive, & they will begin preparing the order. She told me to get the items myself and pay for them again!! No thanks! This is unacceptable. I asked for the customer service manager, & she didn't make me feel any better than the rude associate. You don't have to speak badly to customers just because you can't do something that they expect for you to do. Sometimes it's not about what you say. It's how you say it, & to be honest, I didn't like either one. I cancelled my order online. I told my pickup person that he could leave, & I'm waiting on a refund. I have grown to expect bad service at Walmart which is why I do not shop there, but my daughter in law does... Unfortunately. Although I didn't really think the place could get worse.... It does in the pharmacy department.... Rude is evidentially the best service they offer.... And it is not limited to the low class uneducated pharmacy tech's, the Pharmacist is just as rude...... At least they are consistent, rude across the country in every department.... It is a sad thing that the good employees are the exception to the rule..... The Walmart on Airline Drive in Bossier City, Louisiana is the worst Walmart in the world. Hell, it's the worst STORE in the world. I got accosted by an employee around 2PM, August 14, 2011 for not flushing the malfunctioning automatic toilet after I used it! THE GUY USED THE F-WORD, CALLED ME A LIAR IN FRONT OF A MANAGER, and the manager told him to go into his office or he'd "REALLY be in trouble." Then the manager told me he'd take care of it, I didn't need to lodge a written complaint. Insane! This Walmart feels totally unsafe, surreal! Even more than other Walmarts!" And everyone who EVER writes ANYTHING negative about this Walmart on this yelp* page should TOTALLY be believed, because this store is absolutely THE WORST Walmart I have EVER been to. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE store. I feel depressed that I have no choice but to give them one star. I don't want to give them 1/1200th of a star. I request that yelp devise a new rating system specifically designed to allow this Walmart to be used as the lowest baseline score that can be given. Perhaps they should be given half a malfunctioning automatic toilet. The good news for me is that I've been Walmart-free since this horrific experience in 2011.
