Parking was easy and finding the men's department was right inside the door. The thing was here, the selection kind of sucks. I easily did a once over of the department and couldn't find anything that would fit the bill. In fact, there wasn't anything dressy above a polo or Hawaiian shirt. I browsed a bit more and moved on to other areas of the store. My Dad had moved on right away and I found him in the toy section. I did find something while in here and made my way to the register. When I approached the register I thought I was approaching a hostile employee. Her affect was presenting as nonapproachable, but looks can be deceiving. She was pleasant and processed my transaction with ease.

All in all this location isn't too bad. It is off the beaten path a little for this area, so may…read morenot be the most convenient of locations to get to. Staff was really friendly upon entering shouting out a greeting from behind the counter, which they did repeatedly as others entered the store. Store is clean and organized, they were actually putting out some new stock when I came in. So they keep stock rotations going it would appear. Front of the store is set up with men's and women's apparel. The back of the store has more of the home goods stuff (art, kitchen ware, bathroom stuff, etc). Prices seemed to be pretty good as well. You can definitely get some good deals if you can find what you are looking for. As with any of the outlet type department stores, your luck can be a little hit or miss. But with ever changing inventory, you may come three or four times and not find anything, but could find exactly what you're after the next visit. Doesn't take long to shop through the store. I'd recommend them.

Amazon return window closed April 15 so I contacted Frogg Toggs and set up an Rmar to return the defective waders at a cost of $17. We will see how this goes but I am totally disappointed with the quality of these chest waders made in China.

We were told they could not be repaired and since we were outside of the one-year warranty by a couple of months, there was nothing they could do. The waders obviously had not been used much and they did not care if they had been worn 2 times or 200. We were not offered a discount on a new pair .. NOTHING AT ALL. No consideration of retaining a customer.

She immediately recommended the ALTRA hiking boots which have a wide toe box. She brought several models, and I walked out of there with a pair of ALTRA Lone Peak 9 hiking boots. These were probably the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I have been everywhere in the Huntsville and Madsion for years and have not been able to find a place that has wide hiking boots. I even went to REI who had no wide boots in my size. Gadsen Outfitters not only gave me a Military discount, but they also have a 30 day return policy. You don't see businesses anymore with such honesty and ethics and actually want to help a customer. It is worth the hour drive from Guntersville as I have found a place where not only have boots for my mangled feet, but are experienced, knowledgeable and are an honest business. There is a little bit of everything, it would seem, related to the outdoors. They have sections for bike riding, climbing, water related sports as well as apparel for men and women. I looked through the stuff for men and didn't come across anything that caught my eye. They did have some stuff that was a little different than what you'd find in department stores. Prices were, in my estimation, slightly higher than what you'd pay at other sporting goods/department stores. They do have a nice selection of shoes, again, that are a little more original than the run of the mill. Some of the branded items you'll find here are Patagonia, The North Face, Trek, Chaco, Osprey, Salomon, Hoka and Kuhl. If you're shopping for outdoor gear, I think this would be a worthwhile place to check out, they may have some good options for you.
